UD Trucks Launches Medium-Duty Croner in the Philippines

Fuel efficiency, battle for talent, productivity and connectivity are top priorities for fleets and transport companies. But all these challenges are well-addressed with the new features of the latest truck line of UD Trucks, the Croner.

Smaller but stronger — this is exactly what the Croner is about and it has finally arrived in the country.

Earlier, UD Trucks, along with its official dealer in the Philippines, Prime Quest Transport Solutions, Inc. already launched the all new medium-duty truck Croner. The truck’s features highlight UD Trucks’ unwavering commitment of “Going the Extra Mile” for customers’ businesses.

The aim of Croner for its launch in the Philippines is to provide support to different business in the fast-growing regions around the country that need logistics services. And this truck has features that can fulfill all that. Dubbed “the truck that the world needs today,” Croner will serve as a versatile hauler with customizable configuration, allowing its owners to set them up according to their needs.

Steve Hedouin, Managing Director of UD Trucks Philippines explained the coming of Croner to the Philippines:

“When we started to develop Croner we had one clear goal, no compromise; No compromise at all…

And we wanted to develop smart and modern medium-duty truck with ultimate dependability.”

Features

The Croner truck is superior among other trucks in the Philippines with the new GHE engine series under its hood. It is easier to drive the truck too with its automatic transmission. For owners, having an automatic truck shouldn’t be that costly. Croner comes with a built-in fuel coach and aerodynamic cab to reduce coefficient of drag, making driving more economic.

Furthermore, Croner utilizes a new truck technology called the UD Telematics Services to encourage better driving behavior and protection of fuel assets. The truck has fuel utilization reports to demonstrate how the truck and driver are performing and fuel advisory services to improve driving behavior. It also has a fuel loss alert to prevent theft or misuse of fuel, along with a cable-connected fuel follow-up tool.

The Croner will be available in 5-liter and 8-liter diesel engines. Everything in its mechanical system promises to deliver high torque from low revs with flat torque curves.

All these improved performances allows for extended maintenance intervals and longer engine life.

As for those who want to stay in the traditional driving side, Croner will also be available in manual transmission with 6-speed or 9-speed variants.
