The 5 Idealistic Women who Support and Empower other Women in their own ways

Tiktok is not just an app for fun and entertainment. It is also a platform to express self-worth and optimism. A platform where women can voice out their advocacy and help other women empower themselves. Female content creators on tiktok are successful on using the platform to give rise to their advocacies and turn the app into a real, motivational, delightful, and educational place for everyone and pursuing their will as they continue to share inspiring videos.

AntointetteTaus, a Filipino-American actress, humanitarian, and United Nations Environment Programmed Goodwill Ambassador, has been a long-time fixture in the local film industry. Antoinette’s key goal is to inspire the youth to take the lead in the transition toward a future that is focused on the betterment of people and the planet—without leaving anyone behind. She is recognized as one of the most prominent role models of her generation’s youth. She founded the non-profit “CORA” (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) and the mission-driven company “The Sustainable Planet,” both of which are dedicated to developing sustainable programs and solutions to address global issues such as hunger, poverty, inequality, mental health, plastic pollution, and climate change.

To Antoinette, being kind comes before being respectful of other women.

Pau Kimberly, a self- love advocate. She used tiktok to set her advocacy that aims to make other women be confident and proud about themselves. In her tiktok contents she uplift her followers, especially the women to stand still after each fall. In Pau’s video, a remarkable message that each and everyone needs to hear that shines through- “You are enough.”

“We as a society are not yet used to women standing up for themselves, women that are strong and independent, women that are empowered, women that are not believing in timelines, women that are very career-driven. I use my platform to raise awareness that we shouldn’t care about others’ opinions. We as women are enough, and are worthy, in our own rights.”

Veronica Limcaoco (@beloynica)

Veronica “Ron” Limcaoco, is a female advocate that empower young women through sports. She is an active member of Girls Got Game PH (@girlsgotgameph), it is a non-profit organization that aims to help young women by the help of sports activities. Veronica with her group arranged a sports camps that roam around underprivileged areas throughout the Philippines. In this camp, girls can have a privilege to play different sports to help boost their confidence. Because of this Girls Got Game PH, did help to strengthen our country’s future, through these strong and confident women.

She believes that to be able to empower women we must work together to help each.

We are just doing it differently, I might be doing it through sports but in the end we only have the same goal, and it’s impossible for one person, one organization to do it all. So, the best thing to do is work together.”

Nove-Ann Tan (@ihomeschoolph)

Nove-Ann Tan, a Homeschooling advocate, is an active homeschooling mom, who also helps other homeschoolers. She has also written books, “I Homeschool: How to Homeschool without Losing Your Mind” and “Happy Wife, Happy Life”, and hosts a weekly podcast where in Nove-ann shares helpful ideas and information about this homeschooling.

As per Nove-Ann, it is indeed valuable for other women to feel that they’re not alone in whatever problems they are experiencing right now.

MaicaTeves is the Executive Director of Samahan ng mgaPilipina para saReporma at Kaunlaran (SPARK!) Philippines. SPARK! Is a non-government organization composed of women who have a mission to help other women, empower and uplift them to become a holistic partner in national development. She believes that there are a lot more we can do to show our support and help towards other women.
