In her new hit song “Pasko Kasama Mo,” Hazel Faith transforms traditional Christmas tunes with technicolor glow

With the release of her peppy Christmas song “Pasko Kasama Mo” via WATERWALK RECORDS and Sony Music Entertainment, Filipina singer-songwriter Hazel Faith spreads holiday cheer.

Bringing back the gilded memories of Christmas and reminding listeners why it’s the best time of the year, “Pasko Kasama Mo” sees the budding superstar revisiting the holiday experience with technicolored bounce, funky chords, and a ’80s city pop lilt.

“My mother has been asking me to write Christmas songs since forever,” says the multi-talented act. “But I had a hard time writing my own because I felt like all the great Christmas messages had already been made. For that reason, and the truth that I only saw Christmas as a tradition, left me uninspired. But after the Lord renewed my faith, it’s like my vision turned technicolor. Suddenly, I was excited to celebrate Christmas. Not because of the parties, the foods, or the gifts but because I was finally looking at the One whom Christmas is all about. Truly Christmas felt hollow without Christ himself. And that led me to writing Pasko Kasama Mo. This was finally something I had a unique perspective to.”

The track was written by Hazel Faith herself, and was arranged, produced, mixed, and mastered by Albert Tamayo, a good friend of the gospel-pop sensation. Faith, in particular, felt eternally grateful to Tamayo for being part of her music journey and lending his talent to the project.

“It’s a joy for me to be able to showcase his genius in Pasko Kasama Mo as well,” adds Hazel Faith. “When it came to the vibe, it was probably influenced by my feeling of nostalgia and then looking forward to all that is new. But honestly, I just told kuya Albert to make it sound like a station ID.”

With the help of Grammy-winning composer Jungee Marcelo and a rap verse by Jericho Arceo of WATERWALK RECORDS, “Pasko Kasama Mo” successfully portrays the joy and spirit of Christmas with a retro-modern vibe. It’s a bop that evokes the cozy coziness of a house and is brimming with life, vigor, and unmistakable personality.

With LifeWave’s wearable health solutions, you can patch your way to wellness

A company is gaining traction in the health and wellness industry because to its incredibly distinctive goods. LifeWave is a cutting-edge technological firm whose main goal is to enhance everyone’s health and wellbeing in the Philippines without the need of pharmaceuticals or chemicals. Wearable health patches from LifeWave increase cellular activity by using light.

David Schmidt, LifeWave’s Founder and CEO

David Schmidt, the founder and CEO of LifeWave, created this technology. In 2002, Schmidt established LifeWave as a research organization based on a recently patented method for improving health using a brand-new type of phototherapy he had created.

The United States Navy recognized Schmidt’s innovative work and invited him to join an elite research team that developed mini-subs or midget submarines. Schmidt attempted to help the crew of the mini-sub stay awake without the use of drugs. He investigated natural methods for increasing the body’s energy. Three years of research led to the creation of the Energy Enhancer Patch, the first LifeWave prototype.

LifeWave’s flagship product is X39®, a stem cell activator patch. “Stem cells are the foundation of health. If you have less stem cells, you will get sick. It is your primary source of defense. As we grow older, the number of stem cells in our body decreases,” said Dang Gilera, LifeWave Philippines General Manager.

She added that when you place a LifeWave X39® patch on the recommended acupressure points on your body, it will help grow your own stem cells. Most X39® product users attest that you feel the effects right away.

“What is nice about this product is that you wear it and you do not drink or take it. This is not a drug, not a pill, no chemicals added. It is a patented product,” Gilera said.

Immediate success

LifeWave was launched in August 2004 and was an immediate success, generating US$17 million in sales in its first year. Since then, LifeWave has grown into a multinational corporation with offices in the United States, Ireland, Taiwan and distribution in over 100 countires.

LifeWave made its way to the Philippines back in 2018 with a pre-launch in December. The grand launch happened in March 2019. However, the COVID-19 happened a year after and LifeWave’s plans had to be set aside.

The company’s top-selling product is LifeWave X39®. This cutting edge technology solution offers health benefits like instant pain relief, reduced inflammation, helps wound healing, energy and vitality, metal clarity, boosts athletic performance, faster recovery from exercise, and improved skin look.

In addition to X39®, Schmidt also created X49TM, Energy Enhancer®, IceWave®, Silent Nights®, Y-Age Aeon®, Y-Age® Glutathione, Y-Age® Carnosine, SP6® Complete, AcuLife, and AlavidaTM Regenerating Trio LifeWave’s skin care products.

Prior to and following the main festival, the ASEAN-India Music Festival 2022 will emphasize university-based music programs in Delhi’s Purana Qila

This year’s ASEAN India Music Festival (AIMF) will return with substantial music events taking place at some of India’s top institutions. The three concerts will be a part of the celebrations for the ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations’ 30th anniversary.

Three concerts in Shillong, at Ashoka University, Government schools in collaboration with Global Music Institute, and North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), will feature multi-genre contemporary acts from numerous ASEAN nations and India. Similar to AIMF, which will be held from November 18–20 in Purana Qila in New Delhi, the concerts and workshops are free.

Serving as a prelude to the main festival event, the Ashoka University concert will take place on November 17, 2022, 7:00 PM onwards and will showcase music from Tri Minh’s Quartet (Vietnam), Instamuzika (Malaysia), RizerXSuffer (Cambodia), and Empty Wallet (Brunei Darussalam).

ASEAN India Music Festival’s closing ceremony will be hosted on November 20, with Minister of External Affairs Hon’ble Dr S. Jaishankar as chief guest.

On November 21, a lecture demonstration and workshop will be given at aGovernment school in association with the Global Music Institute in Delhi. Guests will also be treated to demonstrative performances from Lao Traditional Music Troupe (Lao-PDR), Makaohang (Thailand), and Bayang Barrios at Ang Nilayagan (Philippines).

The Shillong leg of the ASEAN-India Music Festival will conclude this year’s series of musical events on November 22 at North-Eastern Hill University in Meghalaya. This event aims to raise students’ and youths’ awareness of and appreciation for music from the ASEAN region, which will in turn promote tourism and interaction between India and ASEAN.

Shillong’s own Colours, the MRTV Modern Music Band from Myanmar, Riau Rhythm from Indonesia, and Linying Band will all perform during the show (Singapore). 5:30 PM is the commencement of the concert.

“It is very rare that there is such a vast representation of music from Asean region where India has a lot of commonality in our shared cultural histories and traditions. Therefore it is only natural that the youth and the young generation of India should get to hear and have direct interaction with these musicians rarely seen and heard in India,” Sanjeev Bhargava, Director of ASEAN-India Music Festival 2022, shares. “These workshops and interactive sessions will go a long way in spreading awareness of common musical traditions between ASEAN and India.”

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in partnership with SEHER—the primary organizers of the second ASEAN-India Music Festival 2022—organizes the university performances and lecture-workshop program.

At PhilConstruct 2022, Buildrite Construction Chemicals debuted products that were “first in the Philippines”

Gracing the ribbon cutting were (from left to right)  UAP National Vice President Architect Jayson Ang, UAP National President Architect Richard Garcia, CEO and Founder of Magna Prime Chemical Technologies Inc. and Construction Chemical Specialist Mr. Derrick Tan, UNTV News Anchor and Face of Buildrite- Mr. William Thio, UAP National Treasurer Architect Richie Cucuero, and Pastor Loi Gatchalian.

Buildrite Construction Chemicals officially debuted Readycrete, ready-mix concrete in a bag, and SmartBond Flex, the nation’s first flexible tile adhesive, during the just finished PhilConstruct 2022. For Magna Prime Chemical Technologies, Inc., notably for its brands Buildrite and Sinclair Paints, the launch was a historic occasion since it started a company history of introducing fresh, cutting-edge products at each yearly PhilConstruct event.

Readycrete is the first and only ready-mix concrete in a bag in the Philippines, conveniently giving construction projects a consistent concrete mix they can trust. For tile installation, Buildrite introduced Smartbond Flex, the first ever flexible tile adhesive in the Philippines. SmartBond Flex tile adhesive acts as a shear stress dampener, which prevents the tile adhesive from cracking or losing adhesion,

Readycrete Concrete Mix in a Bag addresses the problem of access to high-strength ready-mix concrete. Builders with small to medium projects are forced to mix their own concrete on-site, which is the primary cause of concrete problems and poor concrete strength. With Readymix, it’s now possible to order ready-mix concrete in a bag regardless of the quantity needed or the location of the jobsite, providing a convenient solution for many construction projects.

SmartBond Flex is the first flexible tile adhesive in the Philippines. Tiles can pop out because of the movements of tiles and substrate during changes in temperature and structural movements. SmartBond Flex tile adhesive acts as a movement absorber or dampener, which then prevents the tile adhesive from cracking or losing adhesion.

Buildrite constantly seeks advancements in construction chemical technology. With the addition of Readycrete and SmartBond Flex to its products, the company will continue to develop more innovative solutions and educate people about cost-efficient, reliable, and sustainable construction chemical products and methodologies.

The 2022 CEAP National Convention will feature Lifelong Learning Solutions from Rex Education

Don Timothy Buhain, Rex Education chief executive officer; Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, author; Atty. Dominador Buhain, Rex Education chairman and president; and Danda Crimelda Buhain, Rex Education chief external affairs officer at the book signing of “Code of Ethics of Professional Teachers 2023 Edition”

The 2022 Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) National Convention is returning in person with Rex Education and a sizable group of educators, school leaders, and superintendents from all over the country after two virtual gatherings during the epidemic.

The 2022 CEAP National Convention will take place in a post-pandemic environment, with the goal of bringing together the knowledge and experiences of schools that are only now beginning to recover from the difficulties of the previous two years. This will enable all educators and students to work together more effectively to advance learning in a progressive and spiritual direction.

The Rex Education Hub showcased REX’s diverse suite of solutions from early childhood education to professional development.

The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope Moving Forward in Synodality,” is inspired from the Holy Year 2025 motto, “Pilgrims of Hope,” which represents the theme of Pope Francis’ pontificate. It also calls upon the journeying together of various members of the education sector as one Church, as prescribed by Pope Francis in his Global Compact on Education message in October 2020.

“To educate is always an act of hope, one that calls for cooperation in turning a barren and paralyzing indifference into another way of thinking that recognizes our interdependence,” said Pope Francis during the speech. “The journey of life calls for hope grounded in solidarity. All change requires a process of education in order to create new paradigms capable of responding to the challenges and problems of the contemporary world, of understanding and finding solutions to the needs of every generation, and in this way contributing to the flourishing of humanity now and in the future.”

Rex Education Hub: A Lifelong Learning Journey

Building on the theme of the 2022 CEAP National Convention, the Rex Education Hub was created for delegates to have a glimpse of every Filipino learner’s lifelong learning journey through rediscovering REX’s diverse suite of solutions from early childhood education to professional development.

The hub was also designed for delegates to feel renewed excitement about learning in all life stages and to collaborate more and innovate further in support of quality education.”

“The journey of life is a journey of learning. At REX, we support Pope Francis and CEAP’s vision for synodality, where every Filipino is moving as one for every learner, so that they are empowered, equipped, and championed.” said Don Timothy Buhain, chief executive officer of Rex Education. “Through the Rex Education Hub at CEAP 2022, we hope we have showcased, yet again, that we are here to support every learner in every phase of their journey.”

Under Early Childhood Education (ECE), REX showcased its educational book titles, anchored on socio-emotional, language, and cognitive skills reflected in the six domains of development in the National Early Learning Framework (NELF) by the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council.

In response to the need for learners to know more about Philippine history, “My Bayani” is REX’s series of storybooks that introduces Filipino heroes to inspire self-analysis and reflection.

Basic Education continues to be the foundation of many learners’ development journey. From kindergarten to senior high school, REX worktexts are applicable across disciplines and integrate values and character formation for holistic development. Other learning solutions such as “My Skill Builder,” “My Career Journey,” and “Laro, Likha, Linang” are supplementary and equally comprehensive materials that further support the Filipino learners throughout their learning journey.

Moreover, after the pandemic reinforced digital solutions as non-negotiable in education, REX continued to build on the importance of digital resources. REX offers Schoology, a learning management system, and standardized assessments such as Digital Aces and Harrison Assessments as great tools that help mold learners who are ready for the demands of the 21st century.

REX also further guides students as they step into higher education. Relevant and evidence-based solutions and up-to-date contents based on real-life applications are at the core of REX’s learning materials to prepare students as they choose and build their careers.

As a lifelong learning partner to law students and practitioners, REX not only creates books, but also opportunities for mentoring and talks or conversations. A book signing with Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, author of Code of Ethics of Professional Teachers, was held on-site on October 27, 2022.

As learning continues beyond formal education, REX’s suite of professional learning materials are intended for those who are looking to level up their journey and contribute to nation-building. Aside from various legal materials, REX’s solutions include the Barangay Handbook, designed for public servants to help them advance their knowledge and skills as they carry out their tasks for the benefit of their constituents.

REX also highlighted their partnership across several promotional and educational campaigns with Edukasyon.ph, an organization dedicated to developing EdTech products and services that bridge the gap between teaching and learning in the digital world.

CEAP 2022: A Renewal of Commitment to Edukampyons

In 2022, REX will once again take part in the CEAP National Convention as part of its ongoing commitment to support education and serve as a lifelong learning partner for all learners.

“As Edukampyons, we always protect, respect, and fulfill the needs of every Filipino learner. We can only do this when we work together with our educators, school heads and administrators, and stakeholders—fellow Edukampyons, who can help us move forward for a progressive education for our nation,” said Buhain.

The CEAP 2022 conference took place from October 25–28, 2022, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Both online and in-person delegates attended concurrent sessions, Eucharistic celebrations, the swearing-in of the newly elected CEAP National Board officers, and the presentation of the Pro Deo et Patria Awards.
