Effective this Labor Day, Grab is launching ‘Groceries For Your Rider,’ a new feature on GrabMart that will allow people to shop groceries from partnering GrabMart stores, a new feature that will allow customers to order groceries from participating GrabMart stores and brands for their “Ate and Kuya Riders.”
Grab’s latest program will help GrabMart distribution partners, who are entrusted with delivering groceries and other necessities to thousands of Filipinos.Due to the extreme various levels of lockdowns and restricted mobility placed to fight COVID-19, these partners continue to act as a lifeline for many families and customers who have limited access to supplies.
The launch of the “Groceries for your Rider” coincides with the annual celebration of Labor Day, a special occasion that celebrates the hardwork and dedication of all Filpino workers. In the same spirit, the new GrabMart initiative specifically honors delivery-partners. They are among the many frontliners who risk their safety by leaving their homes, to provide necessary service for the benefit of others. The feature will be available until the end of May 2021.
This new initiative is a continuation of the very successful “Food for Your Drivers” drive launched by Grab in March 2020 to assist delivery partners who continued their work, even as the country experienced restrictions at the beginning of the pandemic. Thousands of riders received food gifts and meals under the campaign.
Customers who want to support their Grab delivery partners can order groceries and staples from shops like Robinsons Supermarket, Shopwise, WalterMart, as well as pharmacies and convenience stores like Ministop, Watsons, and Generika Drugstore. Individuals can also order products from partner brands like Nestle, Unilever, Mondelez, PepsiCo, and BioFlu for themselves and their drivers, or provide them with other goods from GrabMart’s roster of stores. The functionality can be found in the Grab app under GrabMart.
