Southeast Asia is home to an endemic strain of dengue fever, and the rainy season is when there is the greatest danger of transmission. - Apply mosquito repellent if you know you will be spending most of the day outdoors. Consult with your doctor first before applying any repellent on your children.
- Dispose of waste properly. Take out your rubbish on a regular basis as this will prevent inspects from entering your household.
“Make it a habit to go around your home at a certain time every day to make sure that there is no stagnant water and that your household garbage is disposed of properly,” he added.
