In Nuvali, McDonald’s Philippines opens its 700th location

With the opening of its 700th McDonald’s Store in Nuvali—its fifth flagship Green & Good store in the Philippines—QSR juggernaut McDonald’s Philippines, owned and operated by Chairman & Founder Dr. George T. Yang and President & CEO Kenneth Yang, marks another milestone for the Golden Arches in the nation.

With its use of green building and resource-efficient solutions, such as solar rooftops and lampposts, grid-tied solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, a rainwater harvesting tank, and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) Aircon System, among others, that aid in the reduction of emissions, McDonald’s Green & Good initiative is the company’s commitment to do better for the environment.

McDonald’s newest Green & Good store in Laguna also has bike-friendly features that include a Bike & Dine facility and a dedicated Bike Repair Station to cater to the needs of the growing cycling community of Nuvali—Ayala Land’s largest eco-estate and one of the country’s premier biking destinations.

“McDonald’s newest Green & Good store in Nuvali is another step in strengthening our commitment to environmental sustainability. Our goal is to continue to test and learn alternative solutions in how we operate our restaurants. With every Green & Good store that we open, we can determine and integrate better green building and utility-efficient solutions in more of the restaurants that we will open in the coming years,” said Kenneth S. Yang, President and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s Philippines.

With the opening of its 700th Store, McDonald’s Philippines will end 2022 with 45 new stores in different areas across the country.

“This 700th store milestone not only shows our growth over the years, starting with our first restaurant in Morayta in 1981, but it also represents our commitment to the future. As we introduce innovative solutions that elevate the customer experience and create positive impact to communities like Green & Good, we are excited to be a better McDonald’s for many more years to come,” Yang said.

As the McDonald’s restaurant network expands, each new location adheres to the fast food chain’s commitment to giving Filipinos employment and career possibilities by directly recruiting between 80 and 100 locals from the community and nearby municipalities.

The 700th McDonald’s restaurant is situated along Nature Road in Nuvali, Sta. La Laguna, Rosa McDonald’s UN Del Pilar in Manila, Shaw Boulevard Wack-Wack in Mandaluyong, Mambugan in Antipolo, Delos Reyes in Tagaytay, and Sta.
