SB19 channels frustration into fierce momentum with their era-defining anthem “VISA”

The P-Pop trailblazers raise the stakes with a song that channels global ambition and systemic frustration into a rallying cry for change

SB19 ushers in a defining chapter for P-Pop with the launch of “VISA,” their first official single of 2026 and a fearless successor to the Simula At Wakas era. Showcasing a sharper, more assured artistic vision, “VISA” dives into socially charged themes that serve as both an introduction and a declaration—signaling that this new era won’t just captivate audiences, but will also challenge norms, spark dialogue, and disrupt comfort in pursuit of conviction.

[LISTEN TO “VISA” HERE]

Their brand-new song confronts the lived realities of Filipinos striving to shift culture and build a life of security and stability for their families. It channels the frustrations of overseas Filipino workers, athletes, creatives, and professionals, who dedicate their hard work and talent to representing the Philippines, only to be met with systemic barriers that hinder their goal and recognition. Through piercing lyricism that confronts as it wounds, the five-piece powerhouse “calls out the invisible cages that restrict opportunities” on their brand-new track, emphasizing the irony of a people celebrated for their resilience yet burdened by bureaucratic inequities.

“This release will really define SB19’s sound, personality, and the way we present ourselves,” Stell admits. “We have always been known for being vocal, but this time it is even stronger. We are addressing sensitive and current topics that people can relate to, even if not everyone agrees with us. We are ready to face any reaction. This release is very powerful and a strong way to start the year and introduce this new era.”

Inspired in part by real-world events and ongoing conversations around visa denials affecting Filipino talents, SB19’s latest single also serves as a commentary on access and privilege, on the disparity between global contribution and mobility. By centering these themes with a more defined perspective, SB19 transforms personal and collective frustrations into an anthem of awareness, and, to an extent, resistance.

“We were very affected by visa applications during our tour,” Pablo reveals. “SB19 has been active for seven years, and we hope that songs like these can reach officials and encourage laws that make it easier for athletes, artists, and others working overseas to access visas. This could include creative acts, producing content, or receiving rebates for spending related to the arts. This is not just an attempt to produce music, but to push Filipino culture forward. There is little support from the government, so it is important that our work can make an impact not only personally but also on a national level.”

Josh echoes the familiar frustration, sharing parallels with the struggles of athletes who train and work hard to compete abroad and make Filipinos proud. “I have always had this dream during our tour, as someone who represents the Philippines all over the world. I have also seen the struggles of athletes when they represent the country. They give so much for the Philippines, but it often feels like the country does not give back. There needs to be a change.”

Justin chimes in on the ongoing issue while highlighting the intentional messaging of the track. “We are highly skilled and hardworking, and we’ve significantly contributed to raising the morale of Filipinos abroad, as well as impacting the economy in positive ways. But somehow, it often feels like we are at the end of the line.”

Musically, “VISA” mirrors its thematic tension with bold, unconventional production and brass sounds. Conceived from a melody Pablo imagined in one of their brand campaign shoots, the track fuses satire, personal experience, and commentary with sonic experimentation.

Ken shares, “This track is quite unconventional and out of the ordinary. The instruments, especially the melody, aren’t what you’d typically expect. It may sound unusual, but in a refreshing way. The melody leaves a strong impression, and every instrument was carefully selected. From the percussion to the ad-libs and other details, each element is thoughtfully positioned, creating a truly satisfying listening experience.”

SB19’s VISA is now available on all digital streaming platforms worldwide through Sony Music Entertainment.

At the Heart of Growth: Why Haraya Residences Holds a Prime Location Along the C5 Corridor

Haraya Residences as seen from above, situated along C5 and Ortigas Avenue Extension

Metro Manila continues to transform, and at the core of its next wave of urban expansion is one key thoroughfare: C5. Once seen merely as an alternative to EDSA, it has evolved into a dynamic growth corridor—supporting major infrastructure developments, flourishing business hubs, and thoughtfully planned communities. At the forefront of this evolution stands Haraya Residences, a contemporary vertical gated village located within Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig City.

C5: A Strategic Urban Spine

Stretching along the eastern side of Metro Manila, C5 links key cities including Pasig, Mandaluyong, Taguig, Makati, and Quezon City. Its strategic importance lies not just in its reach, but in how it connects everyday life—bringing homes closer to workplaces, schools, hospitals, and leisure destinations.

Over the years, the corridor has attracted large-scale developments, positioning C5 as one of the metro’s most dynamic and in-demand addresses. As connectivity improves through expanded road networks and public transport, it continues to support convenient city living while reinforcing the long-term value of real estate properties in well-connected locations.

Seamless Connectivity Across Metro Manila

C5 functions as one of Metro Manila’s most important mobility corridors, offering access to major expressways including SLEX, Skyway, and CAVITEX, with the future NLEX–C5 Link set to further strengthen its north–south connectivity. From Haraya Residences, this translates into more efficient travel to key business districts, residential communities, and lifestyle hubs across the metro.

Its direct connection to SLEX, via the C5–SLEX interchange and Skyway access points, allows convenient travel toward Makati, Muntinlupa, Laguna, and Batangas, making both daily commutes and weekend trips to the south more time-efficient.

On the southern end, the CAVITEX–C5 Link Expressway extends C5 toward Cavite and Las Piñas, reducing travel time to emerging residential areas and key transport gateways.

Looking ahead, the completion of the NLEX–C5 Link will provide a seamless route to northern growth areas such as Bulacan and Pampanga, offering residents greater flexibility and mobility without heavy reliance on inner-city roads.

Living Within Bridgetowne Destination Estate

Haraya Residences enjoys a prime position within Bridgetowne Destination Estate, a thoughtfully master-planned mixed-use community designed as a complete urban destination. Here, residential living is integrated with offices, hotels, retail spaces, open areas, and lifestyle destinations, creating a well-balanced and vibrant environment.

Connectivity within Bridgetowne is set to improve further with the completion of the MRT-4 line, with Tiendesitas and Rosario Stations located nearby. Plans for a future ferry station within the estate will add another layer of accessibility, supporting a more connected and multi-modal lifestyle.

Close to What Matters Most

Living along the C5 corridor places Haraya Residences near key institutions across Metro Manila. Schools and universities in Pasig, Quezon City, Mandaluyong, and Taguig are easily accessible, making school runs more manageable for families. Leading hospitals and medical centers are also located along or near C5, providing residents with quick access to quality healthcare.

Surrounded by major business hubs such as Ortigas Center, Bonifacio Global City, Eastwood City, and Makati Central Business District, the location supports shorter commutes and improved work-life balance.

Haraya Residences elevates modern city living as an upscale vertical gated village situated in the heart of Bridgetowne Estate, Pasig. Designed with the refined urban homeowner in mind, the two-tower project features one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, with select units offering the added privacy of their own dedicated lift. It harmoniously integrates architecture, greenery, and smart design—showcasing adaptable, light-filled interiors with generous loggias, thoughtfully curated indoor and outdoor amenities, and spaces that encourage both personal retreat and shared experiences. Drawing inspiration from the Filipino word “haraya,” which means imagination, Haraya Residences introduces a fresh vision of living—one that values comfort, connection, and well-being while keeping pace with the dynamic flow of contemporary city life.

Experience elevated living at the center of Bridgetowne, Pasig City. Welcome to Haraya Residences. To learn more, visit www.harayaresidences.com or follow @harayaresidences on Instagram and @harayaresidencesofficial on Facebook.

Making your family’s next major purchase a reality with Metrobank’s home and car loan offers

For many Filipino families, huge dreams like a bigger automobile or a new home are typically accompanied by a lot of hesitation. These milestones patiently wait in the “someday” box due to financial uncertainty and hesitancy because it feels difficult to take the initial step.

Metrobank fills this gap by reintroducing the Goals Made Real promotion from February 16 to May 29, 2026, which gives families affordable, value-driven house and auto loan options so they may move forward with confidence.

If you put off saving for a house for ten years, your family would be without the security and stability they may already have. Putting up with lengthy, taxing journeys means forfeiting time and energy that could be used at home. Loans provide breathing room when handled properly; they don’t increase tension.

That’s where Metrobank steps in. It takes on the heavy lifting so families can confidently move from “someday” to “now.” If you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally secure that home or get that car, this is it.

With Goals Made Real, borrowers who apply under this promo can enjoy:

  • Low Interest Rates to keep monthly payments predictable and easier to manage.
  • Waived Fees that will givesavings of up to PHP 60,000, which means you have extra funds for other related expenses such as home appliances or accessorizing your new car.
  • Free One Year Car Insurance from AXA for car loan borrowers. This gives you peace of mind from day one.

Whether it’s a car loan or a home loan, the goal remains the same: to give you and your family the stability and comfort you deserve without letting “what ifs” hold you back.

You can take your loved ones on road excursions and travel anywhere in luxury and safety with a new car. You may create a secure environment where you and your family can work, play, and develop together with a new house.

Large dreams don’t have to wait. You and your family are always one step closer to the next milestone when Metrobank is your partner and cherishes your hard-earned money just as much as you do.

Hello Glow offers high-quality skincare products for daily use

Clinical skincare designed to truly understand Filipino skin

Hello Glow Advanced Rejuvenating Set

Professional-grade skincare products designed for authentic Filipino skin and authentic tropical climates are provided by Hello Glow. With clinical-grade chemicals and an emphasis on outcomes that truly work in hot, muggy, polluted, and sun-exposed environments, the brand is made for daily usage.

Hello Glow creates solutions that address the issues that local skin actually faces, such as recurrent acne, excessive oil, uneven tone, early aging, and barrier stress, rather than replicating global formulae designed for colder areas. The end product is climate-smart skincare that works well and blends in with everyday activities.

Three systems, three targeted solutions

Many international brands offer strong actives but aren’t designed for tropical wear. Others are affordable but lack performance. Hello Glow bridges that gap with three curated systems, each built to solve specific skin concerns using dermatologist-trusted ingredients.

Advanced Rejuvenating Set: serious renewal, done right

Hello Glow Blemish Miracle System

This four-step system delivers high-performance actives often found in clinic-level treatments: AHAs, BHAs, bakuchiol, niacinamide, and micro-encapsulated retinol. Together, they work beneath the surface to refine texture, fade stubborn marks, and visibly renew skin.

To counter irritation—especially important in hot, polluted environments—the formula is balanced with skin-supporting ingredients like hexylresorcinol, centella asiatica, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. This ensures powerful results without compromising comfort.

Best for visible aging signs, rough texture, acne scarring, or uneven tone that refuses to fade. True to the brand’s philosophy, it delivers transformative results without harsh chemicals—and remains accessible whether you shop online or in-store.

Blemish Miracle System: Clear skin without punishment

Humidity fuels oil. Oil clogs pores. Breakouts follow. The Blemish Miracle System is designed to interrupt this cycle with four targeted steps that treat active acne while helping prevent future flare-ups.

Key ingredients include centella asiatica to calm inflammation, licorice root to fade post-acne marks, chamomile to soothe irritation, rosemary leaf for antimicrobial support, and green tea to regulate oil while delivering antioxidants.

Unlike traditional acne treatments that overdry and weaken the skin barrier, this system understands that even oily, breakout-prone skin needs hydration. When skin is stripped, it produces more oil. This formula treats without punishing.

Active Defense System: Everyday protection for balanced skin

Hello Glow Active Defense System

Not all skin needs intensive correction. Some just need daily defense against sun, pollution, and environmental stress. The Active Defense System strengthens skin before problems appear.

Tea tree helps protect against environmental aggressors while supporting scar care. Salicylic acid keeps pores clear. Green tea balances oil and hydration. Licorice root brightens, while rosemary calms stressed skin and supports early anti-aging.

Ideal for generally clear skin with occasional breakouts, constant sun or pollution exposure, first-time skincare users, or as maintenance after intensive treatments.

Skincare built for Filipino skin and lifestyle

Hello Glow’s formulas are created with local realities in mind—high humidity, strong UV exposure, and busy daily routines. Each system is designed to stay stable in heat, work well across morena and other Filipino skin tones, and deliver professional-grade performance at approachable price points.

The Advanced Rejuvenating Set suits aging concerns, stubborn dark spots, rough texture, or acne scars (with proper sun protection).

The Blemish Miracle System targets active breakouts, inflammatory acne, combination skin, and post-acne marks.

The Active Defense System works best for generally balanced skin, environmental exposure, beginners, or post-treatment upkeep.

All three systems are suitable for dry, normal, combination, and oily skin types—and are formulated to perform in Philippine weather.

Skincare that speaks Filipino

Hello Glow proves that effective skincare doesn’t have to be intimidating, inaccessible, or imported. By pairing clinical-grade ingredients with climate-smart formulation, the brand makes real results achievable for everyday Filipinos.

Hello Glow stands out in a crowded skincare industry thanks to its tried-and-true active ingredients, well-thought-out methods, and formulas that actually understand the demands of local skin—no needless hype, no compromise.

Are you prepared to change the way your skin looks? Explore Hello Glow on TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Shopee. Decoding Our Food: Guidance on Interpreting Food Labels from the Philippine Association of Nutrition

Reading Informational Labels

In a time when many Filipino homes rely heavily on pre-packaged foods, the seemingly inconspicuous food label has a surprising amount of power. These labels are essential tools that enable consumers to make educated dietary decisions that have a direct influence on their health and well-being, going beyond simple regulatory compliance. Understanding these labels is essential to navigating our food landscape and managing our health, according to Arlene R. Reario, President of the Philippine Association of Nutrition (PAN), Inc.

“Food labels are more than just a regulatory requirement; they are powerful tools for empowerment,” states Reario. “They offer a window into what we truly consume, allowing us to align our food choices with our personal health goals and lifestyle needs, without feeling restricted.”

The Power of Clear and Transparent Labeling

A significant aspect of this empowerment lies in the clarity of food labels. Reario emphasizes that labels should be designed to facilitate understanding. “A well-designed label informs so that consumers can explore options confidently,” she explains. “When information is clear, concise, and easy to interpret, shoppers can make quicker, more confident choices, compare similar products effectively, and ultimately select what best suits their families.”

Such transparency also builds critical consumer trust. Labels serve as tangible proof that a product adheres to Philippine food safety laws and regulations, including crucial Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. “When consumers see proper labeling, they know the company is committed to quality and safety,” Reario notes. This assurance fosters confidence in the products they bring home.

Taking Health Into Our Own Hands: The Role of Nutrition Literacy

While clear labels are essential, the responsibility also falls on consumers to cultivate nutrition literacy – the ability to understand and utilize the information provided. Reario points out that many Filipinos often overlook crucial sections of a label, missing out on valuable insights.

“By improving nutrition literacy, Filipinos can transform how they approach their daily meals,” Reario asserts. “It’s about understanding terms, recognizing nutrient content, and knowing how to apply that information to build healthier habits.” This knowledge empowers individuals to critically evaluate claims, compare nutritional values, and ultimately make decisions that support a healthier lifestyle.

For parents, this takes on added significance. “Label information is an invaluable guide for parents to make informed choices for their children’s diets,” Reario advises. “It helps them identify snacks with more nutritional value, monitor sugar and sodium intake, and teach their children about balanced eating from a young age.”

To improve nutrition literacy, you can reach out to a registered nutritionist-dietitian and other health professionals who are knowledgeable on nutrition.

Balance and Moderation Remain Key

Despite the wealth of information available on labels, Reario reiterates that the fundamental principles of nutrition – balance and moderation – continue to hold the most weight. “Understanding labels is a crucial step, but it must be viewed within the larger context of a balanced diet, like that promoted by the Philippine Food Pyramid and ‘Pinggang Pinoy’ and regular physical activity,” she explains. “No single food is inherently ‘bad’ when consumed in moderation as part of a varied diet. Labels and a personal understanding of your diet can help you achieve that balance.”

Reario recommends a straightforward daily routine to begin this journey: “Start by consistently checking the serving size and the nutrition facts panel, especially for sugar, sodium, and fat content. This small step can lead to significant changes in our overall dietary patterns.”

Amidst an abundance of food options, the modest food label becomes a potent ally. Filipino consumers can genuinely take charge of their health and well-being, one smart decision at a time, by promoting clear information, encouraging nutrition literacy, and reminding ourselves of the timeless value of balance.
