Throughout Metro Manila, Ben&Ben teases fans with enigmatic billboards

A new Ben&Ben release has recently been teased by cryptic billboards and banners that have started to pop up in key areas all around Metro Manila. The textual content, which consists of old film photographs and personal sentiments, is reported to be part of a new Ben&Ben song that will be published sometime next week.

A few days ago, the nine-piece Filipino collective tweeted what looks like a snippet of a lyrics offering an intimate take on the painstaking process of letting go.

Ben&Ben also dropped a performance video of “Stand By You,” featuring Indonesian superstar Pamungkas. The collaborative visuals, which was recorded earlier this month at SoundCheck Studio, has racked up more than 220,000 views as of press time.

Moira Dela Torre is named as the official spokesperson for the Para sa Life campaign by Home Credit

Aiming to spread a message of optimism for a better life for Filipinos, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the nation’s top consumer credit firm, has named singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre as the brand’s ambassador for its “Para sa Life” campaign. The theme song for the Home Credit promotional film, “Para Sa Life,” was performed by Moira, the most-streamed Filipina artist for bigness.

“I loved it. It was so special to me,” Moira said, pertaining to the song.  “I’m glad that Home Credit gives me the opportunity to be their ambassador so I can give voice to that wonderful song to inspire more Filipinos,” she added.

The singer-songwriter behind the hit songs “Malaya,” “Tagpuan,” and many more believes that Home Credit’s new campaign can touch the hearts of millions of Filipinos.

“I really love that Home Credit allows us to have somebody to rely on. Back in college, I really wanted to buy a microwave for myself since I was living alone. But I knew that it was impossible for me to get one since I couldn’t afford it in cash,” Moira said laughing.

“Now, I love that Home Credit provides us the accessibility to purchase the things we need in life while giving us the flexibility in our payment terms. And I’m happy that someone out there, who I once was like, can now buy their microwave because of Home Credit,” Moira added.

This campaign of Home Credit aims to inspire more Filipinos, be it the young professionals, couples starting a family, and those who have already established their lives — to pursue their life’s dreams, Para sa Life.

Bringing Home Credit Closer, Relatable to Filipinos

Sheila Paul, HCPH’s Chief Marketing Officer, expressed her delight in the song being an inspiration to individuals who aspire financial stability.

“This new song of Home Credit encapsulates the brand’s promise of companionship through the use of our easily accessible and affordable financial products for our Filipino consumers. Also, the song relays that Home Credit is ideal for young families and starting individuals who aspire to establish their lifelong plans and helping them turn small dreams into reality,” she shared.

Homonym, an agency specializing in sonic branding and end-to-end music and audio marketing solutions, helped Home Credit’s “Para sa Life” campaign with an effective combination of sight and sounds.

“Marketing strategies have turned to visual messaging these past two years and now, marketers are on the lookout to explore other senses that can work. This is where Sonic Branding comes in. It is a strategic, purposeful and consistent use of sound and music in branding and marketing to shape perception and behavior,” said Homonym founder and chief executive Mike Constantino.

By using studies that provide insight into the music habits of Filipino consumers, Homonym was able to determine Home Credit’s brand essence and fine-tuned it with the preferences of the target market to produce a melody that portrays a positive vibe and the feeling of trust and respect.

“Sight targets the brain while sound targets emotions thus eliciting feelings. By creating that emotional connection with the brand’s own signature sound, it will create a long-lasting effect on the target audience and increase familiarity with the brand,” he added.

Paul believed that tapping Homonym in the campaign made Filipinos relate to the message Home Credit wanted to convey.

“As a reliable financial partner of Filipinos, Home Credit has a greater mission of helping its consumers better manage their finances and promote financial inclusion. With music as a huge part of our lives, we at Home Credit saw the value of building our sonic identity and communicating our messages through music to make more people relate to the message of hope and trust that we are trying to convey,” said Paul.

By going to the company’s official Facebook and YouTube accounts, you can view Moira Dela Torre’s “Para sa Life” campaign’s official music video.

The Hammingtons will travel to Manila for their first fanmeeting

This July is a great opportunity to spend with your family because South Korea’s cutest trio is visiting Manila. Sam, William, and Bentley will meet Filipino fans for the first time at The Hammingtons in Juanderland: Fanmeeting in Manila. The event will take place in the New Frontier Theater on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 3 p.m.

The South Korean actors rose to prominence in 2016 after joining the cast of “The Return of Superman,” a reality program about celebrity fathers and their children. At first, the show featured only Sam and William (who is now five years old). Bentley (now four years old) arrived a year after his birth. The three rapidly became fan favorites, and they and the rest of the cast were awarded the renowned “Grand Prize” (also known as “Daesang”) at the 2018 KBS Entertainment Awards.

Earlier this year, the family decided to step down from the show to pursue other opportunities. One of which is “Wilbengers: Suspicious Camping Commotion,” an animated superhero film starring William and Bentley, together with their dad. The family also recently launched their new variety show titled “The Hammingtons’ Dream Closet” which airs on the ENA channel.

Outside of mainstream media, the boys are busy with their very own Youtube channel, “THE WILLBEN SHOW,” which has now amassed more than 350,000 subscribers.

Despite their packed schedule, The Hammingtons are excited to come to Manila.

“This is an amazing opportunity and we are so looking forward to meeting our fans. The last few years have been really difficult due to restrictions but finally being able to have the chance to meet some of our international fans is so exciting,” shared Sam Hammington, the family patriarch.

Sam is a New Zealander-Australian comedian who gained stardom in the South Korean reality television show “Real Men.” In 2013, he won the “Best Male Newcomer” award for his amazing performance on the show.

With only a few weeks until the fanmeet, Sam shared how the Hammingtons have begun preparation.

“We are not trying to overly prepare as we want to have an authentic experience while we are there. However, we have been trying to learn some Tagalog but it is not as easy as we thought it would be.”

Sam also shared that they’re eager to try some of the delicious food recommended by the fans; most notably, “chocolate rice” or champorado in Tagalog.

When asked how the kids reacted to the news, the 44-year-old star candidly answered, “To be honest, I have told them but I don’t think they quite comprehend where we are going. They are excited to go on an airplane to another country. But when we get there I am sure they will be excited.”

As a parting message to fans, Sam had this to say: “First and foremost, thank you for supporting us in everything we do. We appreciate you all, and without you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. This is our opportunity to thank you in person and hope to meet as many of our fans as possible.”

The Hammingtons’ fanmeeting in Manila is only one of the family’s numerous Asian destinations planned. Fans can expect to see more of the trio in person and on various media platforms across Southeast Asia now that WILD Group is in charge of their international efforts. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday through TicketNet. The fanmeet costs PHP2, 850 (Balcony) to PHP6, 500 (Balcony) (MVP). Celebration of Flores De Laguna 2022

Flores de Mayo is a Filipino festival that honors the Blessed Virgin Mary as one of the May devotions. It is observed throughout the month of May. This festival culminates in the Santacruzan, a religious and cultural beauty pageant. Attending this feast is so much fun because I reminisce about those good old days in our province, there are a lot of fun activities and so much more. I also enjoyed the amazing rides and different events in the place. One of their events is the parade and the showcasing of their fine gorgeous ladies with their beautiful gowns.

This celebration culminates with a religious and cultural beauty pageant—the Santacruzan. Last May 22, 2022, Enchanted Kingdom brings back their own twist on the Filipino tradition, Flores De Laguna 2022, in partnership with The Designers Circle Philippines (DCP) – Laguna. Flores De Laguna is a celebration of our motherland and the Filipino creativity and beauty.

This event is an opportunity for 20 of the most promising local designers and loveliest ladies to showcase their passion for fashion as they sashay the catwalk, celebrating the meaningful religious tradition of flower offering and celebrating the culture of the Philippines.

Enchanted Kingdom’s events aim to showcase not just its rides and attractions, but also Filipino culture and pride, as brilliant Filipino designers and models show off their original creations.
