How this smartphone may help you with your everyday tasks without costing you a lot!

We’ve been working from our own locations for the past two years to optimize our work-life balance and keep connected despite the distance. We’re always seeking for ways to remain on top of our daily grind and decompress, working smarter rather than harder, from our 9-to-5s and side hustles to after-work downtime.

Our electronics have become a godsend, allowing us to maximize our time while juggling our personal and professional lives. The smart-performing OPPO A95 is designed to flawlessly sync up with your everyday bustle, allowing you to maximize productivity while also ensuring you get some well-deserved me-time.

Here are a few of the clever ways the OPPO A95 can help you achieve your goals:

Bringing Your Productivity to the Next Level

Enabling the OPPO A95 to maximize your productivity and efficiency while working is the Color OS11.1. Not only does this software allow you to customize your home screens, icons and wallpapers based on how you work, but it also lets you accomplish multiple tasks on the same screen thanks to FlexDrop. So you can take calls, note down minutes and even schedule deliveries all at the same time.

You won’t even have to fuss about lags as you juggle multiple tasks in a day. Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 and a large 8GB RAM+128GB ROM that power the OPPO A95, smartphone lags will be a thing of the past.

Eye-Catching Content for Your Online Biz

For entrepreneurs and those who love a side hustle, content creation is crucial to boosting traffic to your page and growing your business. Play it smart with the A95’s AI-enhanced camera features, which give your photos and videos that professional touch in just a snap. With AI Scene Enhancement to optimize colors, saturation and brightness, and Night Mode to assist whenever you’re shooting during low-light hours, the only problem you’ll have is choosing which content to post on the feed.

Time to Focus on Me

There’s nothing like reaching the end of a long work day, and finally being able to put your feet up as you catch the latest episode of your favorite show, or log in to play on the virtual battlefield. The OPPO A95, powered by ColorOS11.1, helps you get there without the lags or the extreme battery consumption, thanks to its Hyper Boost technology. It even has special features like Game Space, Focus Mode and Bullet Notifications, to make sure you can stay in the zone during your after-work pick-me-up.

And with its All-day AI Eye Care, you won’t need to worry about eye strain from too much screen time. Thanks to AI Smart Backlight and DC Dimming features, you’ll have a comfortable viewing experience as you work and play.

Smart Performance All Day, Every Day

With 5G connectivity, the A95 helps you stay online so you can communicate with colleagues and loved ones, as well as stream and play without any interruptions.

All of these features won’t mean a thing if you have to keep your phone tied to a battery pack the whole day. Apart from its 5000mAh battery and 33W Flash Charging to get you started, the A95 is also equipped with several features to help prolong battery life so you can keep using your smartphone as if it was brand new. Battery Guard optimizes overnight charging by studying your sleep habits; Charging Heat Control manages your gadget’s temperature while charging; and Super Power Saving Mode and Super Nighttime Standby maximize the end of your battery life, so you can take calls even at 5%.

Although the struggle will never cease, it can be made simpler if you work smarter. You may now get PHP2,000 off the OPPO A95’s smart performance features! Converge awarded as the Technology Company of the Year Award

Converge is awarded as the Straive Technology Company of the Year Award in the 12th Asia CEO Awards recognizing the company’s excellence across the areas of technical expertise, financial growth, company reputation, and social responsibility – reflecting a well-rounded and holistic growth.

The country’s leading fiber broadband provider, Converge ICT Solutions Inc., continues to gain national prominence as it was recently awarded as the Straive Technology Company of the Year Award in the 12th Asia CEO Awards, besting seven other Philippine ICT companies for the coveted award. The Asia CEO Awards is the largest business awards event in the Philippines and one of the largest events of its kind in the Asia Pacific region.  Its purpose is to promote the Philippines as the premier business destination for global enterprises.

With the recent win in the annual Asia CEO Awards Converge continues its winning streak in both the international and national stage for its demonstrated innovation and technological prowess. According to the national award-giving body, nominees of the Straive Technology Company of the Year award are judged according to: management achievement, financial contribution, recognition, pioneering achievements, and social commitment.

Thus, the category recognizes Converge’s excellence across the areas of technical expertise, financial growth, company reputation, and social responsibility – reflecting a well-rounded and holistic growth.

“With the increasing demand for reliable and consistent internet, we at Converge knew we needed to be more innovative and progressive in coming up with more solutions designed with our customers’ needs in mind. We are dedicated to deliver better online experiences by building the right technology and infrastructure to empower people, businesses, and the nation,” said Converge Chief Operations Officer Jesus Romero as he thanked the Asia CEO Awards for the recognition.

Leveraging its all-fiber network and its modern, future-proof network infrastructure, Converge innovatively created a suite of broadband products customized to Filipinos’ needs, unlike any plan offered by other players in the market. Among its innovations is the FiberX Time of Day plans which allows customers to choose which period of the day to double their bandwidth.

Another innovation is the Direct Internet Access Upload (DIA Upload) a cloud connectivity solution that allows asymmetric download and upload bandwidth allocation. In this way, business can get the same quality of the premium internet service with two times upload speed, best for outbound traffic intensive business operation.

With innovation-led products such as these, Converge captured 47% of fixed broadband net adds amongst the three largest broadband operators in the Philippines in the second quarter of 2021.

Converge’s meteoric rise in the ICT space saw a major boost in 2020 as the pent-up demand for high capacity and high speed internet further shot up amid the pandemic. With its twin expansion strategy – Go Deep and Go National – already in place before the pandemic struck, Converge was in the best position to cater to the urgent need of the people for fast and reliable fixed broadband connectivity that can only be delivered by fiber technology.

Since 2020, Converge has gone from strength to strength, expanding nationwide coverage to 32.5% of households in the country, passing 8.3 million homes, going nationwide in service, and recording industry-leading revenue growth.

In the fourth quarter of the year, the fiber broadband provider is showing no signs of slowing as it will begin to service the Visayas and Mindanao islands more widely.

Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions, Inc. (PSE: CNVRG), a leading Philippine fiber broadband provider, has signed a P3 billion term loan agreement with state-owned Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) to fund the completion of its terrestrial and subsea domestic fiber backbone network, as well as support the internet service provider’s working capital requirements.

“This loan financing brings us one step closer to our goal of connecting the unserved and underserved areas in the country. The available funds will help us reach into untapped markets, and really ‘Go Deep’ into existing ones,” said Converge CEO Dennis Anthony Uy.

“Our network investments are at the core of our service to Filipinos. There is still huge pent-up demand for high-speed broadband connectivity in the country. And the need for quality internet services became even more critical when the pandemic happened. Suddenly, the home became the office, the school, entertainment center, and marketplace in one,” he noted.

The total loan package from LANDBANK will also include an additional short term loan line as well as a facility for its trade transactions amounting to up to P2 billion.

“This loan package will provide Converge with financial flexibility as we continue to connect Filipino households to our pure fiber network nationwide,” said Converge President Maria Grace Uy. “We expect this financing facility to strengthen our balance sheet and help us reach our goal of covering 55% of Filipino households by 2025.”

This year, Converge has set aside P20 billion for capital expenditures, with the majority of the cash going toward its statewide expansion, which included connecting Visayas and Mindanao to its national primary production. It just began commercial operations in Cebu province and had a soft opening in Davao City.

“As you further expand your domestic network, broaden your distribution reach, and secure additional access to international connectivity, we in LANDBANK affirm our commitment to support you in meeting these objectives. In terms of inclusivity, Converge’s “Go Deep” strategy to penetrate unserved and underserved areas is aligned with our own, as LANDBANK promotes financial inclusion by serving unbanked and underserved Filipinos,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia Borromeo during the signing ceremony.

Converge’s pure fiber network has reached over 8.3 million homes by the end of June 2021, more than double the number from the previous year. This accounts for 32% of all households in the Philippines and 57% of all dwellings in Luzon.

Caritas Manila uses technology to create good platforms. Mayani and GrabPay are partnering to promote online giving for underserved youth

Digital platforms have being reconfigured to use their accessibility and expandable capacities to ease the impact of the economic slump on the poor and vulnerable in the backdrop of the continuing pandemic that has pushed more families deeper into poverty.

Caritas Manila, the Catholic Church’s lead social service ministry in the Philippines, is co-launching the Tuloy Aral Project to facilitate the food demand of over 5,000 youngsters scholars from the country’s poorest areas while also assisting the livelihood of rural small – scale farmers through technological advances.

Also spearheading the project is GrabPay, the leading e-wallet of super-app Grab, and Mayani, an impact-driven ag-ecommerce platform with over 28,000 smallholder farmers, including the Pililia farmers of the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc (PSFI).

“For the past 60 years, Caritas Manila has been actively shaping total human development and assisting the needs of the unfortunate members of our society through mission-driven partnerships,” says Fr. Anton Pascual, Executive Director of Caritas Manila. “This project firmly complements our Youth Servant Leadership & Education Program (YSLEP), while concurrently extending our alleviation outcomes to our local farmers by sourcing the donated food packs from them.”

YSLEP, which covers the children of the displaced workers due to the pandemic, aims to put them through college and technical vocation education, while giving them necessary means and basic support like food as they complete their schooling.

“While technology is the core enabling engine for mobilizing broad online support for Tuloy Aral, its impact components are very social and two-fold: helping farmers at the grassroots and supporting the basic nourishment needs of the youth scholars. We are glad to play a fundamental role in making this happen, especially now when it matters the most,” remarked JT Solis and Atty. Ron Dime, the Co-Founders of Mayani, whose farm-to-table play has been revolutionizing the agricultural supply in the country.

Mayani, who now powers the fresh produce value chain of the likes of Shell, Robinsons, and Waltermart, among others, is a long-standing partner of GrabPay with the latter serving as it’s e-wallet of choice in the Mayani ag-ecommerce site. Their existing collaborations include the ongoing Online National Food Fair for Cordillera farmers with the backing of the Department of Trade and Industry.

Starting in August, Grab will use its mobile app to increase Tuloy Aral’s signal, going to the Mayani ag-ecommerce site, which will have a variety of handpicked vegetable, fruit, and rice boxes for the marketplace to choose from and give. Mayani will bolster the project’s online reach by utilizing all of its digital platforms, as well as important billboard sites across Metro Manila, in collaboration with HDI Adventures, its ad-tech lead partner.

Farmers in Pililia, Rizal will collect the fresh vegetables in each box as part of PSFI’s Integrated Farming Bio-Systems initiative, which will then be processed by Mayani and shipped to Caritas Manila for dispersal.

Infrastructural Challenges in PH Can Be Addressed With ABB Technology

ABB Philippines

ABB, a global technology leader, has the infrastructure in place to assist the Philippines in meeting its goal of having electronic vehicles (EVs) account for 10% of all road transport vehicles by 2040.

Support infrastructure, according to Department of Energy (DOE) Director for Energy Utilization and Management Bureau Patrick Aquino, is one of the hurdles they must overcome to achieve this aim.

“Under the 2018-2040 Philippine Energy Plan, EVs are expected to account for 10 percent of road transport vehicles by 2040 in the clean energy scenario,” he said during the forum, “The Future of E-mobility Is Now”, which was held on the second day of the ABB Digital Summit.

Aquino was one of the resource speakers during the forum, along with Electronic Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) president Edmund Araga and ABB Product Marketing Specialist Engr. Ace Bisnar. ABB Asia Pacific Manager for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Kumail Rashid also joined the event during its question and answer segment.

ABB EV Charger

ABB has been leading the way to a zero-emission mobility future. It has developed electrification solutions from EV chargers for the home to fast-charging roadside stations.

The company also offers electrical distribution solutions and battery energy storage systems — infrastructure that are essential to enabling an e-mobility future.

Bisnar added that ABB can provide remote support to monitor EV chargers in different areas.

“It’s not just putting the EV charger on the area, but also making sure that it is working 100 percent,” he said.

ABB E-mobility

The latest available data shows that the transition to EVs from conventional vehicles has been slow so far. Aquino shared that from 2010 to 2019, only 11,950 EVs were registered, accounting for a mere 0.09 percent of registered vehicles.

This is why organizations such as the EVAP are closely working with the government and other sectors to further e-mobility in the country.

“We never stop promoting, and continue sustaining its ground” Araga said during the Summit.

ABB Philippines is hosting the ABB Digital Summit for the first time, a four-day online event featuring worldwide ABB speakers as well as invited resource persons from other organizations and associations. ABB, in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP), the Energy Managers Professionals Association in the Philippines (EMPAP), the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE), the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2), and the Philippine Green Building Council, is hosting the event from July 26 to 29. The Herbalife Nutrition Leverages Digital Technology to Attain to be Fit and Healthy during this New Normal

The premiere global nutrition company Herbalife Nutrition takes place in digital technology to bring fitness to the people. As they go through different platforms through videos, virtual events and other interactive activities as their approach to this new normal. These different health protocols forbid the people to go outside and stay at their houses, but this doesn’t stop Herbalife Nutrition from giving their best to serve the people. I also witnessed their fitness platforms as I joined in their exercise through their fitness portal. It features workout videos that caters the beginner routines to the advanced workouts making fitness a reachable goal for everyone. It’s also great as all of their videos can be accessed for free.

Samantha Clayton, Vice President, Worldwide Sports Performance and Fitness, and Chairwoman of the Fitness Advisory Board of Herbalife Nutrition stated, “Three years ago, we started on our digital platform for fitness. It’s a free resource that’s for everybody.”

Ms. Clayton spoke in the media and the blogging community during the virtual Wellness Tour of Herbalife Nutrition Philippines. The conference was done in accordance with Herbalife Nutritious Get Moving with Good Nutrition, this campaign aims to stop this health sedentary lifestyle and encourage the people to take action and support one another on living a healthy lifestyle. It was introduced as part of Herbalife Nutrition’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.

According to Samantha Clayton, “Digital has been driving fitness for a long time. It really amplified the average everyday fitness professional’s voice. If you see a lot of the content that’s on YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram, the content that gets the most likes tend to be fitness-based content, so the digital transformation of the fit-ness world has been happening for a long time. It has always been supported hand in hand with going to a location to exercise, but as this year has gone on, the physical getting together piece has gone down a little, which has made the digital transformation of fitness move at a more rapid pace.”

She also said that people will still choose to do their home workout even if the gym starts to open and people can go out as they realized the convenience of doing their routine in the comfort of their own home.

Those companies that tend to create content, the challenging part is making it fascinating for the people and customers.

When the Olympic sports stopped this year, we really had a challenge in engaging in communicating to other communities and meeting with our distributor.

Clayton and her team addressed the challenge and came up with 2020 Quarantine Sports and Fitness content, including athlete cook- off contest, social media workout videos, sports nutrition blog contest series, Facebook lives workout series and social media workout graphics.

Previous Olympic Athlete; Clayton also stated that the audience for Fitness Sport and Nutrition is getting wider until today.

Years have passed, the fitness and sports industry, in particular, was focusing on the athletes. Everything shifted the attention towards athletes, a person is doing his/her best at their specific sports, what is exciting is the audience is expanding not just for sports and fitness nutrition.” Clayton said”, people now are more interested in what nutrition has to offer.

These are the data that Herbalife Nutrition gathered between February 23- March 25, 2020. She shared that pointers of communication in sports nutrition online listening are: Nutrition 10%, Market growth (28%), Science (10%), Food (15%) and health (37%).

Based on the data these are the reasons why people are moving: running and endurance training ranked highest at 26% followed by bodybuilding and weightlifting at 23%, cycling at 13% and plyometric at 12%.

Clayton believes that it is important that people must practice a healthy lifestyle. Doing so doesn’t mean you are striving to be an athlete. It’s not about you reaching specific performance, it is about improving your daily habits.

So whether you’re eating good and nutritious food, or having an exercise in the morning, an active lifestyle is sustainable healthy habits that last a lifetime. Your body is like a vehicle, the lifespan and how it operates relies on you.

A mother of four children, including a set of triplets Clayton has finished Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Major in Nutrition and Wellness. A personal trainer and competed in the Sydney 2000 Olympics, is an athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA)- certified trainer, specialize group exercise and International Sports Science Association (ISSA)- certified trainer, group exercise specialist, and youth fitness specialist.
