Despite freezing weather, hundreds of Detroiters line up to try Jollibee’s signature Chickenjoy
FIRST IN MICHIGAN. Despite sub-zero weather in Sterling Heights, Detroiters flocked to witness the opening of Jollibee’s first location in the state of Michigan.
When they watched the eagerly awaited launch of Jollibee’s first location in Michigan state, in Sterling Heights, Michigan, residents of Detroit seemed unfazed by the snow and the bitter cold.

The historic Jollibee store may be found downtown Detroit, Michigan’s first capital city, at 44935 Woodridge Drive, in front of the Lakeside Mall. Hundreds of hungry Detroiters who placed orders through the double-lane drive-thru at Jollibee Sterling Heights helped the restaurant surpass its opening-day sales target, even though it had to cancel dine-in service earlier than anticipated due to inclement weather.
“Despite the intense cold on the day of our opening, local Detroiters still came in droves to have a taste of our Jollibee favorites. Bestsellers on the first day of business at Jollibee-Sterling Heights include the restaurant’s famous crispy and juicy Chickenjoy fried chicken, regular and spicy chicken sandwiches, and peach mango pie.
A long line of people and cars flocked for the opening of Jollibee’s first location in Michigan state. Despite having to close the store early due to extreme weather conditions, Jollibee Sterling Heights was still able to exceed sales targets.
