MakaFilipino Project
The MakaFilipino Project was officially launched on Friday, June 5, uniting corporate partners and community stakeholders in a collective effort to assist Filipino transport workers facing the challenges of increasing fuel prices and living expenses.

As part of the initiative, 200 jeepney drivers and 40 tricycle drivers received fuel assistance, grocery packages, and products from partner organizations to help alleviate the financial pressures of their everyday needs.
The event opened with a motorcade marking the official launch of the MakaFilipino Project, symbolizing unity among organizers, partners, volunteers, and beneficiaries in recognizing the vital role of transport drivers in Filipino communities. The launch was also attended by supporters from the public service sector, including Chariman of Road Safety Advocates of the Philippines Colonel Bonifacio Laqui Bosita and Imus City Councilor David Sapitan, who both expressed their support for the initiative.
“Through the MakaFilipino Project, we hope to continue finding meaningful ways to support hardworking Filipinos who play an essential role in our communities,” said Martin Peñaflor.

The organizers express their heartfelt appreciation to the partners whose support made the initiative a reality: Tangere, SEAOIL, Coca-Cola Philippines, RFM Corporation, Universal Robina Corporation, Island Credit Solution, Splash Corporation, Kenvue, and Savino Logistics.
The MakaFilipino Project embodies a collective dedication to delivering meaningful assistance to Filipino communities and marks the start of future programs designed to support the sectors that play a vital role in keeping the country moving forward.

The MakaFilipino Project is a corporate social responsibility initiative spearheaded by Tangere and its partners to provide direct assistance and support to Filipino communities through collaborative, impact-driven programs focused on livelihood, mobility, and social welfare.
