GDay Family Day at Globe Unites Generations at Museo Pambata

Globe’s first-ever GDay Family Day, which transformed the recently refurbished Museo Pambata into a cheerful space where childhood memories met new beginnings, gave the 917 GDay 10th anniversary celebration a touching twist. The museum, which used to be a popular field trip destination for millennial parents, became the setting for a full-circle experience as they showed their kids the same hallways they had previously explored while watching a marathon of classic Disney+ movies.

“This wasn’t just a nostalgic reunion—it was a heartfelt celebration of family, connection, and shared joy. True to our promise, we created rewarding experiences tailored for our partners, employees, and their loved ones, sparking laughter, bonding, and lasting memories across generations,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe.

Globe mobile customers with Globe At Home accounts, along with their family and loved ones, were treated to a curated experience with exclusive bonding moments and immersive activities designed to spark wonder across generations. From Philippine Biodome + Ocean Park tickets to Hotel H2O stays, Ayala Cinema vouchers, and Disney On Ice: Magic in the Stars passes, the day was filled with memory-making opportunities that families will cherish for years. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Max’s Restaurant, Jamba Juice, and Krispy Kreme provided delicious treats, refreshing beverages, and fun freebies that kept spirits high and smiles wide throughout the day.

Denise Fabella, Executive Director at Khan Academy Philippines, facilitated the introduction and the use platform as one of the highlight activities of the event.

Beyond entertainment, GDay Family Day also embraced learning and safety. Parents and children aged 7–14 engaged with Khan Academy Philippines, Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program, and the Safe Spaces book initiative, gaining valuable insights on digital safety, cybersecurity, data privacy, and internet ethics. These sessions were part of Globe’s commitment to nurturing responsible digital citizens and empowering families with tools for safer online experiences.

Driven by its purpose and mission, Globe extended the GDay Family Day experience to children from underserved communities through a meaningful partnership with Project PEARLS. Accompanied by their parents, guardians, and organization representatives, the children enjoyed a day filled with wonder and discovery, including a guided tour of the museum, movie marathon, face painting, and other engaging activities. This initiative reflects Globe’s ongoing commitment to inclusive, community-centered experiences that bring joy, learning, and connection to Filipino families.

“GDay Family Day was a powerful reminder that family isn’t just defined by a household, it is shaped by the communities we uplift together,” said Denisse Arao, Director for Marketing, Family Segment at Globe. “Through shared experiences, inclusive joy, and meaningful partnerships, Globe continues to show that connection goes beyond technology, it is about creating moments that truly matter.”

GDay 2025 underlines that remarkable things can happen every day. And those ordinary times become GDay moments worthy of celebration when families unite, whether via laughter, education, or legacy.

From navigating open seas to leading an innovative enterprise, Capt. Roy Rivera has always steered his path with vision and purpose. Formerly a Ship Captain, he now heads Nano ProTech, a company transforming how science and technology safeguard and elevate daily life. Together with his trusted officers—Arjean Reyes, COO and VP for Administration and Finance, and Jit Enano, EVP for Business Development & Marketing—Capt. Rivera guides a forward-thinking team committed to bringing innovation into every Filipino home and community, enriching lives through nature-inspired technologies and science-backed solutions.

This unified leadership was evident during the special media event themed “See the World in Style, Shielded by Science,” held at Nano ProTech’s Mandaluyong City headquarters. The gathering introduced the company’s newest innovation—the Nano ProTech Eyewear Line—and offered a preview of its upcoming first anniversary celebration this December, fittingly called “Breakthrough 1.0: The Nano ProTech Anniversary.”

Capt. Roy Rivera’s journey from the open seas to leading Nano ProTech shows how far vision and purpose can take someone. It’s inspiring to see how he and his team are using science and nature-driven innovation to improve everyday life. Their new Nano ProTech Eyewear Line really reflects that mission—blending technology, style, and wellness into something people can use and feel the benefits of in their daily routine.

Designed for today’s fast-paced and visually demanding world, the Nano ProTech Eyewear Line showcases how science and style can seamlessly come together. Each pair fuses advanced nanotechnology and natural components embedded in the frame—including Germanium Stones, Negative Ions, Far Infrared (FIR), Silver Ions, and Multi-minerals. Working in synergy, these elements create a subtle natural interaction that promotes balance, comfort, and a relaxing wearing experience.

We believe innovation should empower everyday living,” said Capt. Rivera, CEO and President for Sales and Product Management. “Our mission has always been to make advanced science accessible and meaningful—integrating protective technology into the products people use every day.”

Much like a well-coordinated crew, Capt. Rivera, Reyes, and Enano each play vital roles in navigating Nano ProTech toward growth and excellence. Reyes oversees the company’s operations, ensuring its systems run efficiently and sustainably, while Enano drives business expansion and nurtures strategic partnerships. Together, they steer Nano ProTech toward a future where protection is not only smart but also stylish, practical, and people-centered.

The eyewear line is just one of the many innovations in Nano ProTech’s expanding portfolio. Since its founding, the company has been pioneering products that embody its philosophy of smart protection through science. Beyond eyewear, its proprietary Nano ProTech technology powers an ecosystem of solutions designed to protect, preserve, and perform. Each product reflects the brand’s dedication to research, innovation, and its goal of enhancing modern living through technology.

As Nano ProTech celebrates Breakthrough 1.0, the company marks a year of milestones, partnerships, and achievements that have established it as a trusted name in nano-protection. The celebration kicked off with “Beats of Hope: Music for a Cause” held last November 7, 2025, at their Mandaluyong headquarters. The company turned passion into compassion by directing proceeds from the concert to fund its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

“With Breakthrough 1.0, we want to highlight not just how far we’ve come, but how much further innovation can take us,” said Enano. “This is just the beginning of our journey to make protection smarter, sleeker, and more sustainable.”

Globe DevCon 2025: Motivating Learners to Create in the Digital Age

With the successful hosting of Globe DevCon 2025, the third annual Globe Developers Conference, which took place last October 9 at The Globe Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Globe achieved yet another significant milestone in its pursuit of innovation and talent development. Over 1,000 developers, engineers, and students attended the full-day event, which had the theme “Harnessing the Power to Create,” to learn more about how AI-driven technology can address practical issues and significantly improve people’s lives.

Globe DevCon 2025 was more than just a tech conference; it was a platform for innovation with a purpose. The occasion gave the upcoming generation of student developers and artists the confidence to dream big, create relevant projects, and network with business executives who are influencing the direction of digital advancement.

“At Globe, we believe the future is built by the bold ideas of today’s youth. Globe DevCon 2025 is more than an event, it’s a launchpad for student innovators to explore, connect, and create with purpose,” says Anne Calma, Head of Marketing Youth Cultures at Globe. “By giving them access to real-world tech and industry mentors, we’re not just inspiring them, we’re investing in the future they’re ready to shape.”

The event saw strong youth participation, with 194 student attendees from 27 universities nationwide, including University of the Philippines – Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, National University, University of Batangas, STI Lucena, and Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela. These numbers reflect Globe’s expanding reach among young innovators and its leadership in nurturing digital changemakers across the country.

“I realized that innovation isn’t just about coding, it’s about creating change that matters. [Harnessing the Power to Create] means believing that creativity and innovation can coincide to shape a better future,” said John Michael G, Papa, a senior student at Pateros Technological College. “[The Globe DevCon 2025] sparked a fire in me to dream bigger and create impactful, yet meaningful innovation.”

To further learning and engagement, students earned leaderboard points by engaging in student challenges: attending breakout sessions, sharing insights on social media, and redeeming and donating Globe rewards points on the GlobeOne App.  Exhibits like MongoDB database solutions, the AWS AI stylist for color analysis, and the Huawei Robodog captured imaginations and showcased the real-world potential of emerging technologies.

DevCon 2025 featured solution showcases, fireside chats, and tech demos that highlight innovations developed within Globe. This year’s DevCon is also made possible through the support of AWS, Couchbase, Huawei, MongoDB, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amdocs, Oracle, Searce, Cisco, and F5. Their collaboration underscores the shared commitment to empowering developers and advancing the country’s digital innovation ecosystem.

In keeping with Globe’s #GoForIt mission to follow your passions and goals, DevCon 2025 will continue to encourage professional and student collaboration and connection, enabling students to put their aspirations into action. Globe is dedicated to offering chances for development, innovation, and impact—inspiring the next generation to #GoForwardTogether—as technology becomes an integral part of every student’s journey.

“The Blueprint by Globe” brightens the holiday season by inspiring purposeful connectivity and fostering meaningful connections

Globe leaders respond to questions from media attendees during The Blueprint by Globe event, sharing insights on innovation, purposeful connectivity, and inclusive digital transformation. From left to right: Jonathan Cristobal, Marketing Head of Globe Business; KD Dizon, Vice President of Globe Business; Paula Rivera-Castillo, Head of International Business; Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer; Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer; Chelo Flores, Director of Marketing Strategic Partnerships; Beverly Robles, Senior Director of Digital Strategy and Channels Activation of Broadband Business; and Anna Aranas-Baldos, Director of Portfolio Management of Globe Prepaid.

With the second episode of The Blueprint by Globe, Globe celebrated the year-end holidays at The Globe Tower, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, marking the season of giving and unity. The event, which had as its subject “Lighting Up the Season with Purposeful Connectivity and Meaningful Connections,” demonstrated how Globe is still influencing Filipinos’ digital lifestyles with purpose and creativity.

Globe’s Blueprint outlines the ongoing architecture of a connected future in which technology is developed to empower, protect, and integrate every Filipino rather than for its own sake. Globe’s innovative strategy creates the groundwork for a fully inclusive digital nation, from seamless digital experiences to infrastructure for nation-building.

As for me, the event truly highlighted how technology can be more than just convenience, it can be a bridge that brings people closer. Seeing how Globe uses innovation with purpose made me appreciate how digital tools, when designed with intention, can truly empower Filipinos and create a more connected and inclusive future. It’s a reminder that meaningful connections matter most, especially during the holiday season.

“Through each quarter, we’ve explored the different layers of this design, from innovation and inclusion to sustainability and digital empowerment,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe. “And today, as we close the year, we celebrate how all these pieces come together to form something greater: a future where every connection we build becomes meaningful.”

Purposeful Connectivity

Globe spotlighted how its strategic collaborations, inclusive platforms, and customer-first solutions enable seamless, secure, and equitable access to essential services, empowering Filipinos to thrive in work, learning, and everyday life. From reliable 5G and AI-powered experiences to seamless connections at home and abroad, Globe continues to build technology with purpose, proving that real progress is driven by care.

Globe is equipping businesses with tools that drive meaningful digital transformation. Through the Globe API Ecosystem, enterprise partners gain access to secure, next-generation authentication capabilities. Anchored on the GSMA-certified Number Verification API, the multi-party ecosystem brings together Globe Business, m360 and Concati. Together, these enable new standards of trust, security, and seamless customer experiences across industries.

Complementing this is Digitest, Globe Business’s digital maturity assessment tool that helps organizations gauge their current capabilities, identify gaps, and align their digital initiatives into a clear strategy for growth. Together, these innovations enable Philippine enterprises to scale with confidence, strengthen customer trust, and drive progress across industries, business sectors and communities.

Connectivity that Brings Us Together

Globe opened the segment with the heartbeat of the nation’s digital life, its network. Whether at home or abroad, Globe ensures that every Filipino stays connected, especially during the most connected season of the year.

From GoRoam’s “roam like a local” offer for leisure travelers, and the Roam Kabayan 3-in-1 pack that empowers Overseas Filipino Workers to stay close to their families through affordable call, text, and data bundles, to Globe At Home’s AI-powered partnerships that redefine future living with secure, seamless digital experiences — Globe ensures that connection is always within reach. Whether it’s managing life abroad, sending love back home, or building a digitally enabled household, Globe makes every moment count.

This season, Globe celebrates the power of 5G to unlock everyday potential, backed by the widest 5G coverage in the Philippines according to Ookla. With smoother gaming, clearer video calls, faster streaming, and real-time content creation, 5G enables young Filipinos to stay productive, expressive, and connected wherever they are.

Through Globe Prepaid’s Go5G TURBO 50 and Go+ 99 plus AI, hyper-connected youth gain access to fast, reliable 5G and powerful digital tools that support learning, creativity, and self-expression. Together, these innovations light up Filipino lives with seamless, meaningful connections that bring us closer to who and what matters most this holiday season and beyond.

Meaningful Connections

Globe’s commitment to Meaningful Connections comes to life through campaigns, community programs, and personalized experiences that celebrate relationships that matter most. Whether connecting families, educators, creators, or changemakers, Globe transforms connectivity into community. This segment is about people: families gaining meaningful access to digital tools and opportunities, students building their dreams, local designers and entrepreneurs shaping businesses and culture, and the partners who help make these stories possible.

The Globe Student Program and The Globe Caravan embody this mission. The Student Program, co-created with Filipino youth stakeholders, empowers over 30 million students nationwide to turn ambition into action through mentorship, real-world opportunities, and access to telco tools. From student-led events to digital literacy and career-building experiences, Globe helps young Filipinos grow as creators and community builders.

Meanwhile, the Globe Caravan brings digital know-how to families and aspiring social entrepreneurs in underutilized communities, showing them how to turn connectivity into livelihood. Through hands-on learning and practical demonstrations, it transforms hesitation into hope and simple connections into stepping stones for progress.

In the spirit of bringing the nation together, Globe proudly supports the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025, the world’s international women’s futsal tournament, hosted for the first time by the Philippines. As our national team competes, Globe brings the global stage closer to the Filipinos through heartfelt hospitality, ticket giveaways, and providing strong and reliable connectivity to the delegates and their supporters. More than a game, this historic moment unites fans, inspires young athletes, and celebrates Filipino excellence and sportsmanship.

Globe of Good

To cap off the event, Globe of Good took center stage as a testament to the company’s compassion in action. In the wake of devastating typhoons and earthquakes that displaced millions and triggered a national state of calamity, it stood as a beacon of hope and collective resilience. By transforming everyday connectivity into an opportunity to directly help our vulnerable kababayans, Globe empowers customers to turn data usage, Rewards points, and digital engagement into sustained support for their communities and chosen advocacies.

Through the GlobeOne app’s platforms like Globe Rewards, over 300,000 Globe customers have already donated their rewards points to collect over Php5 million to support programs of our Globe of Good Community Alliance NGO partners to address disaster relief and recovery, hunger alleviation, child stunting, livelihood assistance,, education, persons with intellectual disabilities, child protection, environmental conservation, animal welfare, health and well-being, and other advocacies proving that small acts such as donating their rewards points can drive lasting impact. For our Prepaid customers, Globe offers GoGIVE, which is impact without interruption. Prepaid customers can sign up for free in the GlobeOne app to automatically send hearts to their chosen causes every time they use mobile data. In addition, this year’s G-Gantic Goals campaigns brought together 150,000 customers through the GlobeOne app, proving that even one Rewards point can make a difference, whether it’s feeding rescued animals or donating tablets to public schools in need. Globe of Good perfectly captured the heart of The Blueprint, showing that true progress shines brightest when powered by compassion and collective care.

“This holiday season, The Blueprint by Globe celebrates how technology and connectivity, when guided by purpose, can spark meaningful connections, empower communities, and light up lives through inclusive, intuitive, and intentional innovation,” said Darius Delgado, Chief Commercial Officer at Globe. “We believe in purposeful connectivity, where every product, service, and initiative is designed to provide meaningful connections to Filipino lives.”

The event highlighted how Globe’s innovations—from mobile platforms to fiber broadband and digital solutions—enable meaningful connections at the most connected time of year, reinforcing Globe’s leadership in influencing the Filipino digital lifestyle.

In addition to recognizing local SME partners for their products, the inaugural G Fair Awards recognized them for their commitment to sustainability, creativity, and community.

“Through G Fair, we see how small businesses bring innovation, heart, and resilience to every challenge,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “The winners remind us that success is not just about growth, but about the impact you create for people and the planet.”

KD Dizon, Head of Globe Business, added: “These entrepreneurs embody the courage to innovate and the commitment to do better. Their success inspires others to scale their business and amplify their positive impact in the communities they serve.”

Globe is a co-presenter of the 2025 International Design Conference, which honors educators and fosters Filipino creativity

At the International Design Conference (IDC) 2025, Globe took center stage as a co-presenter of a groundbreaking project meant to close the knowledge gap between academic research and business needs. In a stirring celebration of creativity and mentoring, Globe honored both students and educators as part of its dedication to youth empowerment and digital transformation via education.

The IDC 2025, which was organized in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry’s Design Center, provided a significant venue for exhibiting Filipino artistic talent. 76 of the nation’s top students from prestigious design schools attended an exclusive session organized by Globe with famous author and speaker Joe Pine.

In honor of Teachers’ Month, Globe also invited the educators who mentored these students, recognizing their foundational role in shaping the future of the Philippines’ creative economy.

“This partnership reflects our belief that creativity thrives when students and educators are equally empowered,” said Jonathan Cristobal, Director of B2B Marketing at Globe. “Through Globe and DTI’s Design Center, this milestone event aims to build a future-ready education ecosystem, where innovation, mentorship, and opportunity are accessible.”

Globe’s participation at IDC 2025 underscored its strategic role in shaping the Philippines’ creative economy, connecting top design students with global thought leaders, championing educators as catalysts for innovation, and reinforcing Globe Business as the trusted partner in future-proofing education for both teachers and students.

Looking ahead, Globe plans to deepen its collaboration with the design community through innovation workshops, mentorship programs, and expanded access to global creative networks. These efforts aim to build a fully connected education ecosystem, where every student has access to world-class learning tools, every educator is supported by intelligent technology, and every institution is future-proofed for the digital age.

The IDC 2025 experience, powered by Globe Business, showed how technology can serve the changing demands of both students and creative professionals, encouraging Filipinos to #GoForIt.

GoRoam packs from Globe are now accessible throughout Europe and are reasonably priced

GoRoam Best-Ever

With the extended, best-ever GoRoam deals, Globe is revolutionizing the travel experience for Filipinos overseas. Customers may choose from a range of reasonably priced data packs and take advantage of seamless connectivity at unparalleled rates, better than prior offers, and even select eSIMs.

In a few locations in Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe, Globe is now offering a number of GoRoam bundle alternatives. Globe makes it simpler for visitors to select a plan that fits their vacation and budget, from affordable 7-day packs starting at P300 for 7 days to 30-day data packs delivering more gigabytes (GBs).

Additionally, GoRoam enters Europe for the first time, expanding its global reach and solidifying its position as the preferred travel partner for Filipinos worldwide.

“Roaming is no longer expensive. With Globe GoRoam, our customers enjoy the most affordable rates, even cheaper than popular international eSIMs. From weekend getaways to month-long Euro trips, there’s now a GoRoam pack for you,” said Paula Rivera-Castillo, Head of Globe International Business.

Most Competitive, Best-Ever Roaming Rates

Globe first disrupted the roaming market in 2023 by launching GoRoam, offering rates close to local SIM prices in key destinations. With this expansion, GoRoam raises the bar by introducing multiple denominations per country, ensuring that no traveler feels limited by one-size-fits-all roaming offers.

Budget-conscious customers can now access affordable entry-level packs while long-staying roamers and heavy data users can choose higher-value options without breaking the bank. In destinations such as South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and Japan, GoRoam offers are now even cheaper than eSIMs and travel platforms. In Japan, GoRoam provides greater data allocations than eSIM options.

Travel Convenient, Flexible, and Worry-Free

Through its expanded GoRoam lineup, Globe cements its position as the most affordable, flexible, and worry-free travel connectivity partner for Filipinos. Travelers no longer need to compromise between convenience and affordability, they can now roam with Globe at sulit rates that rival, and even beat, eSIMs and local SIMs.

Unlike eSIMs that work only on select devices and require lengthy setup processes, GoRoam works for all phones, skips the tedious configuration steps, and keeps users connected in minutes. It also allows customers to continue receiving important OTPs, ensuring uninterrupted access to their accounts and services while abroad.

Activation is effortless so travelers can easily prebook or activate their GoRoam pack via the GlobeOne app or GCash, making it the most seamless roaming experience Globe has ever offered.

“Globe is here to change the way Filipinos think about roaming,” Rivera-Castillo added. “With GoRoam’s multiple pack options and expanded destinations, we’re making global travel simpler and more affordable than ever before.”

To enjoy worry-free travel connectivity at the cheapest price yet, reserve your GoRoam pack in advance.
