Globe GoGIVE: Giving young Filipinos the opportunity to purposefully live their digital lives

GGIVE PGH Rewards

Now, prolonged video chats, daily social media scrolling, and mobile gaming marathons may all contribute to environmental and social concerns to bring about meaningful change.

With GoGIVE, Globe Prepaid has made this a reality by giving young Filipinos a creative way to use their phones in the same way they already do, making a consistent and long-lasting impact. When subscribers use their mobile data for any online activity, they immediately receive hearts.

A wide variety of causes are supported by the hearts.

GoGIVE PGH Hearts

“We understand that today’s youth want to make a difference, but they need solutions that work with their lifestyle, not against it. GoGIVE easily integrates into everyday life, allowing them to be changemakers through the technology they love,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid.

Since its launch in March 2025, GoGIVE has already generated an impressive 2.7 billion “hearts” from more than 37,000 contributors, and the numbers continue to climb as more people participate in this digital movement of giving.

Globe Prepaid is currently partnered with these advocacies:

With the successful completion of PAWS initial goals, GoGIVE is now focusing on amplifying support for our other crucial advocacies such as Project PEARLS, World Vision Philippines, Philippine Eagle Foundation, and PGH Medical Foundation, Inc.

To join, Globe Prepaid customers can simply download the GlobeOne app, click the GoGIVE icon, and select their preferred advocacy.

Globe’s dedication to sustainability and social responsibility is embodied by GoGIVE. It exhorts everyone to “Go Forward Together,” reminding them that even modest online actions can have a big offline impact.

Globe Champions Use Pettr and PAWS to Take Care of Pets

Nowadays, a lot of Filipino houses and families have pets, and their welfare has grown equally significant. Through its cooperation with Pettr, the nation’s first all-in-one digital pet care platform, Globe hopes to make pet care necessities affordable for all Filipino pet parents. Globe is merging daily connectivity with pet wellness. Pet-parents may obtain the services they require by using its Go+99 offerings, which give users a ₱100 discount voucher for teleconsultations with registered veterinarians and other essential services.

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), a non-profit, volunteer-based organization committed to sheltering rescued animals, preventing animal cruelty, and promoting the humane treatment of animals, is partnering with Globe to launch a number of pet-care initiatives. The first will be employee engagement programs like volunteer activities, donation drives, and awareness campaigns to support PAWS’ advocacies. Globe recognizes the opportunity to authentically demonstrate its commitment to animal care and welfare.

The initiative kicked off with Volunteer Day last September 25, 2025, at the PAWS Shelter in Katipunan, Quezon City, where up to 50 Globe employees donated pet-care amenities and spent the day feeding, cleaning, and reading to the shelter’s cats and dogs. This hands-on experience reflects Globe’s belief that care begins within, living out the same values of compassion and community that the company advocates externally.

“This initiative is about showing our people and our partners that care is not just a campaign – it’s a culture,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe. “We try to uplift Filipino lives everyday at Globe and with pets as part of people’s found families, we’re extending that culture of care into everyday life, making sure that even our customers’ companions receive the attention and support they deserve.”

With these efforts, Globe continues to evolve as more than a connectivity provider, fostering a culture of care within its own community.  By celebrating pets as part of Filipino homes, Globe affirms that compassion lives in everyday bonds that truly matter.

Everyone Can Play: Three Journeys, One Game-Changing Phone

Each of us plays for a different purpose. In order to decompress before the following lecture, some people start playing a game during the intermission between lectures. After a demanding workday, some grab their phones in hopes of relieving the tension with a fast match. While lifelong fans jump in to relive the thrill of every competition they’ve ever supported, parents pick it up to share battles and laughs with their children. Others are just inquisitive and are exploring new adventures one game at a time.

Although everyone’s definition of gaming is different, it unites us all. Whether you have ever held a prize, how long you have been playing, or how talented you are are not important factors. It’s about those tiny moments of happiness, camaraderie, and escape. Everyone can enjoy gaming, whether they are parents, students, seasoned enthusiasts, or first-time adventurers.

Furthermore, high-performance gaming is no longer exclusive to professionals thanks to the Infinix GT 30.

Take Ben Maglaque, better known as Benthings. Before esports, he was just like so many of us, juggling jobs, carrying responsibilities, and squeezing in play whenever life allowed. Gaming became his escape, and eventually his platform. “Minsan hindi lang basta paglalaro ang mahalaga, kundi ang pagbabahagi ng laro,” (“Sometimes it’s not just about playing, it’s about sharing the play,”) he says.

With the GT 30’s GT Trigger, Ben can finally keep up with the action. The built-in console-level control captures his highlights and keeps his streams as sharp as his gameplay, proof that the right tools make dreams more possible.

For Alma Enario, known to her followers as Nanay Gaming, it all began with something every parent can relate to: wanting to connect with her kids. What started as curiosity turned into late-night matches, endless laughter, and a livestreaming channel where families feel at home. “Walang pause button ang pagiging ina, pero ngayon nakakasabay na ako sa mga anak ko at sa mga nanonood,” (“There’s no pause button for motherhood, but now I can keep up with my children and with the crowd,”) she laughs.

Powered by the MediaTek D7400 chipset, Alma enjoys smooth, lag-free games and long broadcasts that don’t break the moment, because family playtime should never skip a beat.

And then there is Icey Arcangel, a fan who once cheered from the sidelines, now married to a pro player and immersed in the game she has always loved. For her, it’s not about titles or trophies but about feeling every moment. “Kapag sobrang mahal mo ang isang bagay, nakakainis kapag hindi nakakasabay ang gamit mo. Bawat galaw, bawat sandali, gusto kong maramdaman,” (“When you’re passionate, it’s frustrating when your gear can’t keep up. Every move, every moment, I need to feel it,”) she shares.

With the GT 30’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) 120 FPS certification, every frame is ultra-smooth and crystal-clear, bringing her right onto the battlefield.

Different stories, different reasons, one truth: gaming has no age, no single path, and no fixed role. Whether you’re chasing a championship, bonding with family, or simply playing for joy, the Infinix GT 30 makes it possible. With console-level GT Triggers, the powerhouse MediaTek D7400 chipset, and MLBB 120 FPS certification, the GT 30 proves that Everyone Can Play and Outplay the Rest.

Experience their inspiring stories in action and check out the full video now on the official Infinix Facebook page.

You have the opportunity to tell your story now, and you may win your very own Infinix GT 30. Players can reflect on their journey and commemorate the one triumph that meant the most by using the #MyMLBBStory. All you have to do is provide a screenshot of your MLBB victory, explain how you’ve improved as a player, and post it to your Facebook timeline. To finish your contribution, remember to tag @InfinixPhilippines, join the official community group, and use the hashtags #MyMLBBStory, #GTStory, #OutPlayTheRest, and #InfinixGT30. It’s more than simply a competition; it’s an opportunity to share your experience and demonstrate how gaming has influenced your life.

Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop are currently offering the Infinix GT 30 at a special promotional price of just P10,499 (up to 16GB RAM). Cyber Blue, Pulse Green, Shadow Ash, and Blade White are the hues that are available.

Globe Launches SMS Scam Shield to Guard Against Increasing Text-Based Scams

Free protection now available to Android users via the GlobeOne app

To help shield users from the increasing danger of text-based phishing attacks, especially those sent using spoof Globe or GCash sender IDs, Globe has introduced a new SMS Scam Shield feature on the GlobeOne app. Currently accessible to Android customers, the functionality is Globe’s most recent effort to strengthen consumer protection against ever-more-advanced fraud schemes.

Phishing and spoofing scams usually pose as trustworthy messages, such as those from banks, Globe, or GCash, in an effort to fool consumers into giving personal information or clicking on harmful links. Scams of this kind have become more common in recent years, particularly those that are created using rogue devices called IMSI catchers that imitate cell towers.

“SMS Scam Shield is our way of giving customers more control and peace of mind. With this built-in protection, users are alerted via the GlobeOne app when they receive suspicious messages that may contain dangerous links or impersonate Globe-affiliated brands,” said Coco Domingo, Globe Product Experience Vice President.

Once activated on the GlobeOne app, SMS Scam Shield scans messages locally on the user’s device while ensuring privacy, and alerts users with a push notification if a message is suspected to be a scam. The system also helps detect fake sender names like “GLOBE,” “GLOBEREWARD,” or “GCASH,” and flags messages with phishing links.

To date, over 34,000 GlobeOne users have enabled the feature. Since rollout, the system has already identified more than 13,000 phishing messages, just weeks into its launch.

Globe subscribers can activate and use SMS Scam Shield for free within the GlobeOne app. Once permissions are granted, the app automatically starts protecting the user from fraudulent messages. For those concerned about privacy, Globe emphasized that it does not read or store SMS messages, the scam shield runs entirely on-device and only collects harmful links to strengthen the system’s defenses.

The feature also supports community reporting through https://www.globe.com.ph/stop-spam, encouraging users to report scams and contribute to wider link blacklisting.

SMS Scam Shield is part of Globe’s broader commitment to building a safer digital experience for Filipinos. It complements the company’s other cybersecurity efforts and serves as an early step toward integrating more AI-powered threat detection and protection across its platforms.

“Security shouldn’t be an afterthought,i t should be seamless. This is just the beginning of more proactive tools we’re building into our digital services,” added Domingo.

Globe encourages all Android customers to actively defend themselves from SMS scams by turning on the feature through their GlobeOne app. Choose “Profile” and then “Security Settings” in the GlobeOne app to enable.

Globe Honors You: GDay 2025 Strengthens Community Engagement and Honors Ka-Globe Employees

Globe honored its employees, one of its most significant stakeholders, with a poignant celebration on this year’s GDay. Under the theme Globe Celebrates You, the firm honored Ka-Globe’s enthusiasm, diligence, and commitment while transforming the event into a chance to actively collaborate with cause-driven organizations and give back to the community.

Leaders surprised staff members with gifts and symbols of appreciation to start the celebration. A Thanksgiving Mass led by Father Jerry Orbos SVD followed, establishing the day’s spirit of thankfulness. Activities like food booths, games, customized GDay pins with each employee’s avatar, buskers, and an interactive video booth were enjoyed by Ka-Globes across all workplaces.

Employees participated in the G Raffle Rush in the weeks before the event, which offered daily challenges and unexpected rewards like unique 917 merchandise, travel vouchers, and staycations. With teams nominating peers in categories including Team Spirit, Hype Machine, Connector, Happy Helper, and Everyday Hero—recognitions that mirrored commonplace acts of generosity and teamwork—the GDay Shoutouts further highlighted Ka-Globes.

91.7 Minutes of Globe of Good

GDay also underscored Globe’s enduring commitment to community service. Employees across the country dedicated 91.7 Minutes of Service with 7 partner NGOs, turning the celebration into a day of collective effort.

More than 3,000 volunteers were assigned to different activities. Some joined disaster response efforts by repacking relief and hygiene kits with ABS-CBN Foundation/Sagip-Kapamilya and Save the Children, while others worked with Ayala Foundation to prepare food packs for schoolchildren. Education and youth-focused initiatives included assembling Kindness Boxes for primary students with World Vision and holding livelihood projects with Project Pearls and GROW Nanays. To promote inclusion and well-being, Ka-Globes partnered with Special Olympics Pilipinas, an organization supporting athletes with special needs, for an athlete care kit preparation. Environmental action also played a role, as employees supported Hands On Manila’s Bokashi Project, creating eco-balls to help clean the filthy esteros in Manila.

Team Globe of Good Brand Ambassadors joined the efforts, dedicating their time alongside employee-volunteers and demonstrating the company’s culture of care in action.

Complementing volunteer efforts were fundraising initiatives such as T-Shirt for a Cause, where employees contributed a portion of their work hours or salaries. Through this collective spirit, Ka-Globes initially pledged to raise ₱917,000 for partner beneficiaries, and to date have surpassed expectations by generating over ₱2 million.

More Than a Celebration

For Carl Cruz, Globe’s President and CEO, his first GDay as chief executive carried special meaning. “You are the reason we are here. Every single one of you embodies the spirit of GDay, and your passion and commitment make it possible for us to serve our customers and our communities. Our employees are Globe’s greatest asset, and this celebration is more than a day of appreciation, it’s a testament to our shared purpose of care, malasakit, and innovation. Together, let’s make every day a GDay. Globe celebrates you.”

“Today we celebrate two milestones in our company’s history: 10 years of 917 GDay and 10 years of Employee Volunteer Time Off,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “Your small acts of kindness combined  create a resounding Globe of Good. And creating a Globe of Good is our purpose in action, it is relatable, impactful, and above all human and humane.”

Use Globe and Beetzee’s binge-worthy Piso serye to turn waiting times into short getaways

Through the GlobeOne app, Globe and Beetzee Play provide brief, binge-worthy episodes for just Php 1 apiece, allowing you to turn life’s pauses into kilig-filled escapes, action-packed breathers, or heartwarming tales.

Globe is once again reinventing the mobile entertainment experience as the first carrier in the Philippines to partner with Beetzee Play. GlobeOne customers may now conveniently top up, stream, and integrate Globe Rewards in one location. No need to register on another platform or download a different app. All you have to do is launch the GlobeOne app, choose Beetzee Play by tapping Essentials on the dashboard. Get your number registered and begin viewing your favorite Piso Serye.

This partnership responds to two converging consumer trends: the rise of mobile-first, short-form content and the increasing need to deepen in-app engagement. Beetzee Play changes that dynamic by inviting customers to stay engaged through quick, emotionally resonant content designed specifically for mobile.

“We are always delivering ways for everyday life hacks and moments of delight to our customers, bringing happiness to them wherever we can, and our partnership with Beetzee Play does just that. We’re letting people choose what they want, when they want it, in quick but satisfying doses,” said Darius Delgado, Globe Chief Commercial Officer.

Globe introduced its latest Beetzee series titled “First Things Last” during The Blueprint event last August 27. The series revolves around a heartbroken Lisa, who after being dumped before a dream trip to El Nido, drunkenly searches online for a travel companion who shares the same name as her ex. When a stranger named DJ shows up, the two embark on three days of ‘firsts for the last time,’ blurring the line between healing and heartache until Lisa’s past comes calling.

Beetzee’s Piso Serye are bite-sized vertical dramas tailored for mobile phones and created for Filipinos who love teleserye, regularly scroll through TikTok and Reels, and prefer content in short bursts.

The Philippines ranks among the top consumers of short drama content in Southeast Asia, contributing to the global surge of over 475 million app downloads in 2024 alone. Globe’s highly engaged customer base, who open the GlobeOne app an average of 14 times per month, makes it an ideal platform for delivering localized, mobile-native content without disrupting user habits.

A worldwide trend is reflected in this need for rapid, mobile-friendly viewing. In 2024, there were over 475 million downloads of short drama material, with the Philippines being one of Southeast Asia’s leading adopters.

Globe and Beetzee Play allow you to transform ordinary pauses into dramatic, feel-good, or action breaks, whether you’re waiting for cooking to finish, caught in traffic, or taking a break between tasks.

BINI and Students #GoForIt with Globe: Dream It, Do It

By providing internships, grants, mentorship, volunteer opportunities, and youth-led events that inspire, Globe is fostering environments where opportunity and ambition collide. In their latest #GoForIt campaign, Globe partnered with BINI to link eight student dreamers with eight BINI members—not as idols, but as peers who share similar late nights, uncertainties, and pressures.

Whether it’s being a photographer, digital illustrator, model, writer, scientist, game designer, or performer, they collectively demonstrated that dreams may take many different forms. Every road is worthwhile, whether it involves making the next major breakthrough or rocking the stage.

“Globe not only connects people through a network, but through communities as well,” says Clareene, a Polytechnic University of the Philippines  student dreaming of becoming a digital artist.

One Beat, Many Dreams

BINI knows what it’s like to chase a dream that feels out of reach. From long training days to topping the charts, they have faced the same doubts and roadblocks as many students today.

“Kahit din may mga doubts kami nung una, since Globe believed in us, that allowed us to believe in ourselves,” shares BINI Aiah.

“‘Di kailangan magmadali para magwagi, buhay ay ‘di karera,” adds BINI Maloi, reminding everyone that life and dreams are not a race against anyone else, but a personal journey you take at your own pace.

These moments with BINI show that they’re not just stars, but young women who once dreamed like today’s students. Whether in music, medicine, entrepreneurship, or digital art, one truth stands: no matter the dream, hold on to it, and go for it.

Globe’s Game Plan for Student Success

“It’s a lasting commitment, this is Globe’s promise to give young people the tools, skills, and support to turn ambition into achievement.  We empower today’s youth through the Globe Student Program, which connects classroom learning with real-world experiences. Students can explore opportunities to join special Globe events, volunteer initiatives, and exclusive student raffles designed to inspire and engage,” says Roche Vandenberghe, Globe’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Beyond experiences, the program also unlocks Student Rewards on the GlobeOne app, where exciting perks await. From partners like Ayala Museum, Museo Pambata, beep™ card, Timezone, Jollibee, and more, students can enjoy discounts, treats, and learning experiences tailored just for them.

Simply search “Student Specials” on the Globe Rewards page in the GlobeOne app to discover offers tailored to students. Whether through reliable connectivity, learning platforms, digital tools, or mentorship, the challenge isn’t being alone, but being ready to Go For It!

The Rhythm of Ambition

Like BINI’s music, Globe’s message speaks to Filipino student youth from all walks of life. There is no single path to success, it starts with courage, grows with persistence, and flourishes when the right support is within reach. That is why #GoForIt is not just a message but a movement for every student, dreamer, and future leader to take their shot.

Different Dreams. Same Drive. #GoForIt with Globe.

Globe has made a bold commitment to bringing happiness, rewards, and meaningful experiences closer to its consumers as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of its annual GDay celebration this September. A statewide movement that combines digital innovation, practical experiences, and sincere surprises to celebrate the Filipino spirit has expanded from what began as a simple thank-you ten years ago.

Me at the Gday Media Launch

Globe’s 10th GDay shows how a simple thank-you grew into a nationwide celebration of gratitude, innovation, and meaningful connections that truly honor the Filipino spirit. I truly enjoyed the celebration—it was a wholesome and memorable event that beautifully marked a decade of fun and love.

“At Globe, we believe the most meaningful rewards are the ones that feel personal, those that are made just for you,” said Bianca Wong, Vice President and Head of Feel Valued Tribe at Globe. “This GDay, we’re celebrating in a way that recognizes our customers’ diverse passions and everyday wins. Whether it’s a surprise gift or a chance to win larger than life prizes on the app, or a fan experience you’ve been wishing for, there’s something in store for everyone to enjoy, tailored to what matters most to them.”

This year, the spotlight turns to everyday moments that feel extraordinary. Across the country, Globe will activate GDay Pop-Up Booths in malls, stores, and neighborhood venues bringing the celebration closer to where customers live, work, and play. These on-ground activations in key cities like Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Naga, Tuguegarao, and CDO, will transform familiar convergent spaces into joyful brand experiences filled with exclusive promos, partner rewards, and surprise giveaways.

Online, the GlobeOne app is the home of GDay. From daily surprise gifts to chances to unlock exciting rewards, customers can explore a seamless and rewarding journey with every tap. Whether it’s vouchers, lifestyle perks, or something bigger, the GDay Surprise Gift is designed to bring a moment of delight to every day.

Over 1,500 Globe customers will get to experience a special afternoon with their beloved P-pop group, complete with live performances, fun interactions, and memorable moments on stage. Through the GlobeOne app, customers can quickly enter a free lottery, use their existing Globe Rewards points to win additional raffle entries, and keep an eye out for weekly prize drops.
