4 Billion Hearts Strong: Globe GoGIVE Transforms Everyday Data into Nationwide Impact

Project PEARLS’ G.R.O.W. (Giving Resources and Opportunities to Women) Program in Siargao and G.R.O.W. Program in Bulacan using the Loop devices from GoGIVE! Project PEARLS had a Macramé virtual training in Siargao, and the Nanays got tips and lessons from G.R.O.W. Bulacan Nanays. These were made possible by the support from GoGIVE. (Photo courtesy of Project PEARLS)

Globe highlighted the expanding impact of GoGIVE at the latest installment of The Blueprint by Globe, the company’s quarterly media event. Embedded in the GlobeOne app and powered by thousands of Globe Prepaid users, GoGIVE transforms everyday mobile data usage into meaningful support for communities across the country.

GoGIVE donors have generated more than 4 billion hearts through their everyday mobile data usage on the GlobeOne app. This far exceeds the 840 million heart target set for each partner organization, reflecting the strong and sustained participation of Globe Prepaid customers. These hearts are then converted into meaningful connectivity support that powers advocacies such as animal welfare, environmental conservation, digital education, women empowerment, medical assistance, disaster relief, children’s rights & development, inclusion, teacher development, and child protection across the country.

Today, GoGIVE is translating digital participation into tangible programs on the ground. For the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), connectivity support enables a more efficient online pet adoption process for shelter cats and dogs, access to virtual veterinary consultations, and stronger communication systems that enhance rescue operations during disasters.

The Philippine Eagle Foundation is using the support to strengthen education and community-based conservation efforts. Indigenous community partners can access online learning modules, participate in virtual trainings and coordination meetings, and report threats and illegal activities in real time to help protect the critically endangered Philippine eagle.

Through Project PEARLS, women in partner communities are gaining both practical skills and renewed confidence through online trainings in macramé, crochet, candle making, and personal development. At the same time, youth scholars are being equipped with career guidance, résumé-building tools, and leadership training that open doors to brighter futures.

For World Vision Philippines, connectivity support is strengthening child protection initiatives. This includes providing reliable internet access to partner public schools in Laurel, Batangas, complemented by online safety capacity-building and improved referral management systems to ensure children are protected and supported both online and offline.

Each partner, who reached their targeted hearts in GoGIVE, received 5 units of Globe AT HOME 5G loop. These connectivity devices will support their operations in the office and in the field. L-R: Globe Chief Sustainability & Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto, Globe President and Chief Executive Officer Carl Cruz, World Vision Philippines Corporate Partnerships Officer Rafael Paolo C. Quimel, Project PEARLS Deputy Executive Director Monica Aclan, Philippine Eagle Foundation Fundraising and Partnerships Officer Julia Estrada, Philippine Animal Welfare Society Adoption Counselor Bing Manzano, Globe Vice President of Consumer Mobile Business Eric Tanbauco, Head of Globe Prepaid Givielle Florida, and Globe Chief Commercial Officer Darius Delgado

Beyond long-term advocacy programs, Globe Prepaid customers have also supported emergency response efforts through GoGIVE during times of calamity. In partnership with Ayala Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Pawssion Project, and the Philippine Eagle Foundation, GoGIVE has helped mobilize timely aid for affected communities.

To support GoGIVE:

  1. Globe Prepaid customers can tap GoGIVE on the GlobeOne app,
  2. Select the advocacy to start earning hearts,
  3. Support the cause automatically every time mobile data is used!

By turning everyday data usage into collective action, Globe continues to show that connectivity can serve a larger purpose. GoGIVE demonstrates how digital engagement can create measurable impact, strengthen communities, and reinforce Globe’s role as a partner in nation-building.

Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe, delivers his remarks during the Q1 2026 edition of The Blue Print by Globe, emphasizing Globe’s vision of “Every Filipino Connected” as a fifth essential utility, underscoring technology and innovation as a bridge to opportunity, resilience, and inclusive growth.

Globe Telecom’s premier quarterly media event kicked off the year with a daring statement. Globe’s Blueprint, where connectivity is about consistent, dependable service, affordability, and ease of use rather than speed.

Globe highlighted its goal to guarantee that every Filipino benefits from the digital economy by announcing innovations and milestones across its portfolio under the theme “Every Filipino Connected.”

Me at the event

Attending Globe Telecom’s premier quarterly media event gave me a clearer perspective on what meaningful connectivity really looks like. Instead of focusing purely on speed, Globe Telecom emphasized consistency, reliability, affordability, and ease of use — things that truly matter in everyday life.

Among the highlights was Globe’s pioneering partnership with Starlink’s Direct‑to‑Cell satellite technology. Following the live pilot trial, Globe and Starlink are preparing to expand testing across additional locations and operational scenarios.

Globe also celebrated its recognition by Ookla® as the country’s most reliable mobile and broadband network, with consistency scores that set new benchmarks for the industry. This achievement reinforces Globe’s commitment to deliver “Connectivity You Can Count On”, “Connectivity for Every Filipino”, and “Experience Globe Connectivity”, reflecting Globe’s three pillars for 2026.

“This recognition affirms that Globe’s investments are delivering real benefits for our customers, reliable connectivity they can count on every day for work, learning, and commerce. Consistency is more than a benchmark; it is the backbone of a digital economy where MSMEs thrive, families stay connected, and communities build resilience. By delivering quality of experience at scale, Globe empowers lives and contributes to nation‑building, making connectivity a driver of inclusive growth for the Philippines,” says Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe.

TM marks its 25th anniversary as a tribute to millions of ka‑TMs nationwide. With affordable and reliable connectivity, exciting rewards, anniversary deals, and on‑ground caravans, TM continues to bring tuwa and tatag to communities, true to its diskarte spirit.

Lifestyle Innovation with Platinum GPlan

Globe expands its premium portfolio with the Platinum GPlan and PAL Mabuhay Miles promo, the first in the market to reward customers with airline miles alongside connectivity benefits.

GoGIVE: Social Impact Through Connectivity

Globe Prepaid users generated over 4 billion hearts, and over 840 million has been donated, via the GlobeOne app, converted into support for advocacies that surpassed targets. Partnering with Ayala Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Pawssion Project, and the Philippine Eagle Foundation, GoGIVE also powers relief efforts during calamities, reinforcing Globe’s role in nation‑building and resilience.

According to Globe’s Chief Commercial Officer Daruis Delgado, “connectivity is a lifeline today.” “We aim to guarantee that every Filipino has access to dependable and consistent digital services, regardless of whether they live in the most distant barangays or in busy cities. We are integrating resilience, diversity, and trust into the core fabric of our network, which goes beyond speed.

Globe is laying the groundwork for a digital nation with The Blueprint by Globe, where connectivity fosters opportunity, resilience, and long-term progress for everybody.

Globe Coop Volunteers Care for and Connect with Orphaned Children: From Hearts to Hands

Hearts in Hands at work: Globe Coop CAREavan volunteers prepared and delivered personalized gift bundles to uplift the children at DSWD RSCC Pampanga.

Globe Coop extended its compassionate spirit to the DSWD Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Lubao, Pampanga. This is a component of the Globe Coop CAREavan, an employee-led outreach initiative with Globe’s regional teams that offers customized programs nationwide to create long-lasting, localized impact for vulnerable groups, such as students, special children, teen mothers, fishermen, out-of-school youth, and indigenous communities like the Mangyan and Aetas.

The project encouraged employee volunteers across North Luzon  to take an active role in preparing more than 100 carefully curated items that were assembled into personalized gift bundles. Each bundle combines everyday necessities and comfort items, including age-appropriate toys, school and art supplies, clothing essentials, hygiene kits, uplifting books, and soft toys or blankets that offer warmth and security. Volunteers also wrote personal letters to accompany each package, giving every child a message of encouragement from someone who genuinely cares.

This year’s activation highlighted how Globe Coop’s employee-led efforts can build meaningful connections with vulnerable communities. The initiative focused not only on providing for physical needs but also on supporting children’s emotional well-being by creating small moments that help them feel valued and supported.

“For many of these children, small gestures can have a big emotional impact,” said Business Head Racquel Marcelo. “Through Hearts in Hands, we want each child to feel the care and warmth of a community that believes in them. Our volunteers poured genuine love into every gift, and we hope these simple acts spark joy and remind them that they matter.”

Volunteers from Globe Coop collaborated with RSCC employees to deliver the packages and spend time with the kids. The volunteers contributed to the creation of a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for the kids through play, group activities, and casual talks.

Globe Coop’s dedication to enhancing communities via empathy and teamwork is reflected in Hearts in Hands. Globe Coop continues to contribute to the creation of a future in which every kid feels seen, cared for, and supported by enabling staff members to improve the lives of underprivileged children.
