LifeWave Assists in Promoting a Modern Wellness Approach

In many parts of the world, the concept of wellbeing has long been confused with the concept of being healthy. While this is an important aspect of being healthy, the current reframing of wellness has progressed beyond this, to an interpretation that considers a more holistic view of well-being.

Company background

To better understand the ways in which the company operates, it’s helpful to first look at its history to see how it came about. LifeWave was founded in 2004 by CEO David Schmidt. At that time, the CEO had already made a name for himself through more than 30 years of work in the field of business and development. With an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems and Biology from Pace University, he spent much of his early professional life pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors in the fields of manufacturing and product development.

Schmidt’s efforts in this area included work to design new ways to synthesize elements, a concept for a bladeless turbine, and even a combustion rocket engine. Based on the strength of these ideas he was invited to work on the Navy’s next generation of mini-subs. David’s work on this project centered around the goal of helping service members maintain high levels of energy without the need for stimulants or other chemicals. In this pursuit, he was motivated by finding a method that was effective but didn’t come with unwanted side effects or negative health consequences.

With this framework in mind, the CEO developed the line of wellness products for which his company has become known — its phototherapy patches. These topically applied patches utilize the power of specific wavelengths of light to reflect energy into a user’s body. Depending on the placement and design of the patch, each one can have different wellness benefits. For instance, the first patch designed by the company, the Energy Enhancer Patch, was created to help promote energy levels and increase a user’s stamina. They’ve also found great success in helping athletes achieve personal bests in competition.

Fighting aging

A decline in wellness is not caused solely by disease or other conditions, it can also be the natural result of aging. While aging is, of course, a normal part of life, there’s plenty of interest these days going towards how we can help to mitigate the negative aspects of the process. As many people are living longer, they’re looking for ways to increase the longevity of their wellness rather than just their overall age.

To address this issue, LifeWave has conducted innovative research into an area of aging that has fascinated scientists for decades — stem cells. As our normal cells age, they can be replaced via the use of stem cells, however, stem cells become less active over time, causing many of the issues we associate with aging.

With the design of the X39 patch, the wellness company has attempted to solve this gap in modern wellness. This patch helps promote wound healing, skin regeneration, and other functions by activating the body’s existing stem cells. It not only marks a significant advancement in anti-aging research, but it also demonstrates the company’s commitment to staying at the forefront of the current wellness industry.

Through wellness products that tap into the body’s natural energy and resiliency, as well as business opportunities that encourage personal and professional satisfaction, LifeWave is here to assist people feel better, look younger, and live more happier lives. Small business owners can use milestones to track their progress as entrepreneurs. As they marked their first year anniversary, Otako Monsta hit a big milestone. They also hailed the success of Crazy Tori, a similar Japanese street food concept that was planned and introduced at the same time last July 2021. As he welcomed guests, Co-founder Gian Franco Go said, “This event is our way of showing gratitude to everyone who has been with us every step of the way, and we look forward to more fruitful years with you as our partners.” The event was filled with music, wonderful food, and beverages to honor their partners who have made a significant contribution to their company’s success.

Sharing their love for Japanese food inspired a group of young entrepreneurs to launch their business at ILEA Christmas Bazaar last December 2020 in Iloilo city. Bringing the same quality and taste of Takoyaki found in Osaka, Japan has always been at the core of their business. Their offerings are competitively priced at P99 for 6 pieces, and are only made with real seafood ingredients. Seasonal product introductions keep their menu updated and exciting. The brand is best known for Monsta – Takoyaki filled with scallops, shrimp, cheese, and topped with baby octopus. They’re also the first to introduce matcha dessert balls, perfect to be paired with Takoyaki, for the same price.

Those looking for a snack do not have to look far because Otako Monsta is widely available in Visayas and Mindanao. It ended their first year in operation with 32 branches and plans to double it to 60 stores nationwide by the end of 2022. The group kicked off their expansion to Luzon, opening a branch in Cavite last October 2021. Takoyaki lovers can expect more branches in NCR in the first quarter of 2022.

Otako Monsta has a fair franchising package and a proven business model, with their carefully planned mall branches achieving a ROI of 5-6 months, exceeding the initial projection of 8-12 months. If you enjoy Takoyaki and wish to share the gift of wonderful food with others, you can apply for a franchise on their official Facebook page at

Assist in the Immune System’s Strengthening Immunity Booster Pack from Santé

COVID-19 cases are steadily decreasing as a result of the continuing nationwide vaccination campaign. However, because the virus still exists, this development does not mean we should relax our watch. Even if you’re fully vaccinated, being complacent about your health is no longer an option. While there are numerous strategies to maintain a strong immune system, such as eating a well-balanced diet and staying active, it also pays to take supplements that contain all of the elements you require.

With its Immunity Booster Pack, Santé, a leading natural and organic health and wellness product and service provider, makes it easy for your body to acquire the daily necessary vitamins it requires. Ten Santé Barley MaxNZ 500mg capsules, two 3g sachets of Santé Barley MaxNZ powder, and ten Calcium-Cee 605.3mg capsules are included in each Immunity Booster Pack to help you boost your immune system.

“Amid the pandemic, it’s vital to keep our immune system strong, especially with the growing threat of the new variant. Through Santé Immunity Booster Pack, we hope to provide everyone the daily essential supplements they need to achieve better health this new normal,” said Joey Marcelo, chief executive officer of Santé.

Barley MaxNZ is barley grass gathered at a young age and turned into powder and capsule forms. It contains pure organic barley grass certified by New Zealand’s leading organic produce and products agency, BioGro. Rich in vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, protein, carotenoids, dietary fibers, chlorophyll, and many more, it has all the requirements a human body needs for a healthy diet and boosts a person’s immune system.

It also aids in providing a good number of antioxidants and assists in digestive health. Meanwhile, the Barley MaxNZ capsule form comes in vegetable capsules, which are easy to digest and convenient to carry.

Calcium-Cee, on the other hand, is composed of calcium ascorbate, an ascorbic acid’s calcium salt. It is ascorbic acid neutralized by calcium, which removes its sourness and is gentle on the stomach. With pH levels ranging from 7.2 to 7.4, it’s safe for daily consumption, even if you have an empty stomach.

Since it has Vitamin C, Calcium-Cee aids in strengthening the immune system to help the body fight sicknesses, assists in preventing infection, and promotes faster wound healing. And with its antioxidant properties, it helps to mitigate the risks of developing chronic health issues like cancer.

Meanwhile, its calcium element aids to boost the circulatory system. It also assists in fighting osteoporosis as it helps to fortify bones in the body. In addition, aside from its various health benefits, it supports preventing kidney stones and colon cancer.

So, if you want to strengthen your immune system this new normal, grab Santé’s exclusive promo, the Santé Immunity Booster Pack, at Watsons stores nationwide to provide you with all the essential supplements that your body needs every day.

With the Tunay na Bayani Awards, Mekeni makes 2021 a year of heroes

Tunay na Bayani Awardees 2021

The Philippines is a hero-filled country. Throughout history, men and women have stood out for justice and freedom. Our modern-day heroes’ heroic blood keeps flowing in the veins of those who have aided their communities in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mekeni Food Corporation created the Tunay na Bayani Awards in the beginning of 2021 after learning that there are many modern-day heroes that deserve to be recognized. Mekeni’s Bayani line, as well as the resilience, talent, and abilities of Pinoy micropreneurs, inspired the award.

Here are stories of heroism that made 2021 a year of heroes with the Tunay na Bayani Awards, from delivering free supplies to people to helping their families get through difficult times.

A Tunay na Bayani to the homeless, underprivileged

Marko Bustarde thought that apart from being a professional hairstylist, he has no other purpose or calling. But as soon as he started giving out free haircuts on what he calls his “Mission Day,” Marko realized that he can share kindness and love especially to those who need it most.

“Na-realize ko na kaya kong magbigay ng hope at love through haircut,” Marko said. “Gusto ko lang din ipakita na kung may mga negative man na nangyayari, maaari pa rin tayong makapag-inspire ng mga tao at makapagbigay ng pag-asa sa kanila.”

Aside from Marko, another Tunay na Bayani in their community is Chel Calaquian. A full-time banker, Chel goes around communities every weekend to share free food to those she meets in the streets.

“It is not how much you give but how much love you put in giving. A simple act of kindness means a lot to people. It does not have to be big, expensive, or extravagant. As long as you put your heart in it and tama yung intention mo, this will go a long way,” Chel shared.

A Tunay na Bayani to the younger generation

Meanwhile, Erl Mahinay Jr.’s story of heroism transcends even the highest mountains. Erl has seen how difficult life is in far-flung areas in his province as he has been a volunteer teacher even before finishing his education degree. So when he had the chance to help the kids in the mountains, he grabbed this opportunity and that fueled his passion to help more of them.

Apart from teaching the children, Erl also started giving out essentials to them. “Binibigyan ko sila ng mga hygiene kits, school supplies, at nagpapa-feeding ako dahil iyon ang mga kailangan nila doon,” he noted.

A Tunay na Bayani to their families

Heroes sometimes do not need to go out. Most of the time, they are at home and taking care of their families.

For Joshua Carte, making the greatest sacrifice for his family was his way to show his love for them. Taking care of his sick parents was the least he could do to repay them for all their sacrifices. Even at a young age, he was able to do so much for his family.

“Hindi ko rin po alam kung paano ko siya nagagawa. Siguro po ‘yung oras ko binibigay ko sa mga importanteng bagay. Sinisiguro ko po muna na ok si Papa at naibigay po yung mga pangangailangan niya bago ako pumasok sa trabaho,” Joshua narrated.

The Tunay na Bayani awardees are living proof that small acts of compassion and kindness can go a long way. Even if they have their own needs to fulfill, they will still choose to prioritize others.

“Every day, there is a reason for us to celebrate and honor ordinary people doing great things for their communities. Their dedication and passion for uplifting the lives of people around them are really astounding and downright inspiring. Tunay na Bayani Awards would not exist without these selfless people doing amazing things for their neighbors. So, to all the heroes everywhere, thank you for the work you do! This coming year, may you continue to multiply and motivate others to do good,” Mekeni President Pruds Garcia said.

Mekeni will endeavor to commemorate these true heroes who have been agents for change as long as Filipinos maintain the bayanihan spirit alive in their communities. Visit Mekeni’s official Facebook page ( to learn more about the Tunay na Bayani Awards and the awardees.
