Ben&Ben’s First Aerial Entertainment Show to be hold on Manila Skyline

Ben&Ben will step into another form of giving entertainment to the people. The Inevitable Drone Show- It will be the first time to present a music performance by the use of drone lights to highlights the Manila Skyline in coeval design.

Presented by SMART 5G, the environmental friendly and unconventional performance will no doubt hit the headlines as its nearest places including the Rizal Park will enjoy and have the priviledge to experience this modern light show LIVE on February 28 (Sunday) at exactly 7pm. The show will at the same time air on Ben&Ben’s official Facebook page. The award-winning Filipino collective will perform an extended version of “Inevitable,” the celebrated song which was used as a soundtrack and music score for SMART 5G’s romantic sci-fi TVC starring Korean drama big stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, to complement the picturesque storyline in the sky.

For their part, Ben&Ben immediately said yes to participating in this initiative that explores the creative possibilities of aerial entertainment, easily becoming the first Filipino band to mount a drone show.

“The first and probably the most immediate reason why we accepted this project is because it merges different forms of art with technology to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our audience,” vocalist and guitarist Paolo Benjamin shares in a statement. “Some of us have experienced drone shows before, but only set to pre-existing songs and records. The opportunity to actually score and record the music and live performance to one such show was something we could just not pass up on.”

Ben&Ben’s percussionist Andrew De Pano takes pride in the fact that the nine-piece outfit are also involved with the visual aspects of the drone show, and not just the music itself. “The mere fact that it’s a drone show is definitely a first big difference,” Andrew says. “We also had to base our music performance solely on a storyboard, which was a new experience compared to the usual scoring of a commercial with more or less final video footage to reference off of. We hope that with the work we put into it, the audience experiences the story of our song Inevitable, set to a unique visual experience that even we are especially excited for.”

The Inevitable Drone Show is a collaboration between SMART 5G and Ben&Ben.

Inevitable,’ the song that Ben&Ben will be performing, is out now on all digital platforms worldwide via Sony Music.

Liza Soberano as the Inspiration of Zack Tabudlo’s Newest Single ‘Elizabeth’

An 80’s pop inspired music was been created by Zack Tabudlo as he launched his new track ‘Elizabeth’. This is about a girl who gives hints of love and interest, but is afraid of commitment. ‘Elizabeth’ is mainly influenced by Zack Tabudlo’s praise for Liza Soberano. As a matter of fact, it is related to her for it is her real name outside of showbiz. And his new single was been released today via Island Records Philippines.

Zack admits that it was actually Liza who got him into songwriting at a young age. “I wrote a ton of songs about her starting out until I paved my way to writing through my personal experiences,” the Nangangamba singer confesses.“She’s such an inspiration to a lot of people including me, who got started with a craft I love to do.”

A fictional account

From a lyrical standpoint, ‘Elizabeth’ puts accurately into words Zack’s frustration about unrequited love, and how the most interesting pieces of music come from a place of romantic uncertainty and youthful sentiment.“The song is about a person who gives you mixed feelings, showing interests but throws you off from time to time,” Zack adds.

As a fictional account that exists in the writer and producer’s fevered imagination, ‘Elizabeth’ gives us a different side of Zack that we haven’t heard of: a distinct range, a flair for infectious storytelling, and a way with words.

An earworm of a track

With its pulsating beats and retro-futurist sheen, Zack shares that his new song is heavily indebted to the new wave hits of the ‘80s, rendering the earworm of a track a colorful, fun exterior.“It’s my first time releasing a song with this style and it’s been fun,” the young producer and singer-songwriter said. “I wanted to go for something mellow having the foundation from the original one but has a ‘slow dance’ feel to it instead of going full ballad.”

For his part, Zack incorporates a lot of personal modified samples for the drum tracks and a lot of 80s synths and effects. The aesthetic move allows the eclectic artist to explore sounds outside of his comfort zone, and experiment with outsider ideas that don’t necessarily subscribe to conventional music-making.

Zack Tabudlo

With a slew of catchy singles under his belt, all leading up to what’s looking to be a promising full-length in the future, the young musician is gaining momentum. His hustle may have been riding below the radar, but one can expect 2021 to be Zack’s year.

Zack Tabudlo’s ‘Elizabeth is out today (February 26, Friday) on all digital platforms worldwide via MCA Music Inc.

A Terrific Adventure of Collab it is with Eve Alai, Arjun Ratwatte and Madaid on tropical funk dance ‘Summer’

Singapore-based electronic musician Eve Alai collaborates on the laid-back jam “Summer” with UK-based musician Arjun Ratwatte and Sri Lankan promoter Madaid-out through Umami Tracks on all online platforms internationally on 26 Feb 2021.

“Summer” hits gold with the sounds of California sunset cruising via fizzy, vintage compositions and feel-good tropical vibes, a much-welcomed move from Eve Alai’s deep house numbers.

By now, it’s clear that Eve Alai wants to concoct the perfect summer anthem for long drives, and on his latest track, he achieves this feat by writing an earworm of a hook around Warren G’s beloved classic ‘Regulate,’ and infusing guitar chords to the mix. The acclaimed producer adds, “I wrote the first verse, then the chorus and immediately had Arjun in mind so we got talking about collaborating on the track. He wrote the second verse and the writing was complete, but I felt that the production was missing the last bit of oomph it needed.”

Sri Lankan producer Madaid completes the foundation built by Eve Alai and Arjun Ratwatte, and instills his production style for a warmer sound. For his part, Madaid switched out the kick drum, and brought the entire track to life by adding his inimitable touch. “It was a very smooth process for me as we all work on Ableton, so we just sent one project file back and forth between the three of us,” Madaid shares. “I believe that silence is the canvas we musicians paint on, and that was my thought process when approaching this track.”

The cross-cultural collaboration took place within the three artists’ respective studios in Singapore, UK and Sri-Lanka. According to Arjun, they have been working on this project since November 2020, and that all participating musicians brought their own flavours and dropped it in a melting pot. “It’s a fulfilling feeling now that song is out! Our comfort zones in terms of genre are worlds apart between the three of us. Finding that middle ground was the beauty of this record.”

The 2nd Studio Album of Rag’n’Bone Man, ‘Life By Misadventure’ to be launch this April 2021

Rag’n’Bone Man

Great news to all the lovers out there for Rag’n Three years following his revolutionary, award-winning breakthrough, ‘Human’, the British singer-songwriter returns with a continual improvement of intent on a dazzling new album, full of heart and soul. ‘Life By Misadventure’ is an amazing series of emotional songs that affect us when we start needing them.

Rory Graham, aka Rag‘n’Bone Man, said that “I’d felt sad looking around Brighton and London where I grew up…remembering all those cool places that aren’t there anymore,” The first single, ‘All You Ever Wanted’ is drive by choppy rythm guitars and a restlessness that he really felt. Watch the video here.

His 2017 landmark debut ‘Human’ was a phenomenal success; a 4x platinum album which shot to #1 week of release in the UK, became the fastest-selling album by a male artist for the entire decade and earned him BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards.

If that’s a hard act to follow, Rag‘n’Bone Man tore up the rule book and went to Nashville to write and record what would become ‘Life By Misadventure’, returning to the UK just before the pandemic first erupted. While a dose of heavy blues and soul lives within some of these new tunes, the majority of this new album finds Rag‘n’Bone Man taking a huge step forward as an artist, a songwriter, and a singer capable of showcasing tremendous warmth and real emotion with every breath.

The bulk of the album was produced and recorded by Grammy Award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Elizondo (Eminem, 50 Cent, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette) at his studio just outside Nashville.

The album has been recorded purposefully like a live album – the sound is real and 100% human. Long time collaborators Ben Jackson-Cook (keys, co-songwriter and co-producer of the album), Bill Banwell (bass, and co-songwriter) and Desri Ramus (backing vocals) are joined by drummer Daru Jones (Lazaretto-Jack White) and guitarist Wendy Melvoin who joined Prince’s Revolution at the age of 19. Together these musicians have made an album full of joy and immediacy, something all too rare these days of autotune and countless overdubs. One song was even recorded in Rag‘n’Bone Man’s garage.

“We had quite a time to live with the songs this time around,” Rag‘n’Bone Man explains. “Too often, how I’d done things before, was that we’d written a song and I had to sing it the same day, and that was the version we’d use on the album. This way, it was far easier to get real emotion into the music.”

“Life By Misadventure’ is the perfect tonic for these times. An album of depth and soul, about growing up and moving forward. Enjoy the trip.

‘Life By Misadventure’ Tracklisting:

Ben&Ben “Inevitable” is such a Game Changer as they Team up Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s TVC for Smart

The new Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin TVC provided the opportunity to place a Filipino band behind soundtrack and musical scoring, although it was necessary for Smart to fulfill its subscriber’s wishes when it comes to getting customers closer to their foreign idols.

This is where Ben&Ben comes in, offering Inevitable,” the song that is heard in the background, while in this romantic sci-fi TVC, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin follow each other. Ben&Ben members simply happen to be CLOY fans with songs influenced by real-life events, as well. In a partnership between the band, Smart, and Sony Music, when it came to lending the soundtrack and musical score for this collaborative campaign, things began to fall into place.

Lead singer Paolo Benjamin said during an official statement released by Sony Music, “Inevitable” is a song that seeks to define the nature of fate, and how all our actions somehow lead us to some better place that is intended for us. “This is also a song about being honest to someone, and no matter how frightening it might feel at times, there’s freedom to bar your true nature from someone you love, even if it’s yourself.

“The songwriting itself presents a concept of the state that is both a surreal mystery and a peaceful assurance, so we wanted to create an aural representation of what these lyrics felt like,” Miguel Benjamin added. Our method began with a mixture of acoustic guitars, which I tweaked as the main intro riff with sitar effects; kind of like a reflection of the two opposing feelings functioning together.

Details about the Smart 5G Campaign

BinJin

The TVC, a joint venture led by Korean drama stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, is part of the latest Smart 5G push to make achievable what appeared unlikely. “Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin took chemistry to a much new level in the Smart 5G TVC from “The Captain Has Landed” to landing with each other’s arms as they start chasing each other on the road and through multiple dimensions just to fulfill each other again as Bin asks, “Do you think it’s possible? “Which Ye Jin responds to, “I do!”

It is indeed perfect that Smart placed together Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin in one project for the first time much from the latest development with Smart 5G, it gives the subscriber idea for us to do things we didn’t think we could do.

Thus, “Inevitable” by Ben&Ben made TVC even more powerful and strong complementing the top-tier material.

Since the start of the pandemic, Smile Train’s Speech Telehealth Program in the Philippines has treated over 100 patients, providing them with more than 700 cleft care-related sessions, including speech therapy, nutritional support, breastfeeding guidance for mothers of babies with clefts, pre-surgical consultations, and psychosocial care. This initiative was recently recognized during the 56th Anvil Awards as the organization bagged the Silver Award.

The Anvil award is a testament of Smile Train Philippines’ efforts to bring uninterrupted care to patients with a cleft palate even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It also shines the light on the dedication and commitment of the volunteers, healthcare institutions, and corporate partners of Smile Train Philippines to rally support for cleft patients so that they may still receive comprehensive cleft care online.

Launched in April 2020, two weeks into the lockdown, the Virtual Telehealth program is manned by volunteer speech language pathologists. Maximizing technology and social media, the Virtual Telehealth Program made use of Facebook Live, chat applications such as Viber and Messenger, and online discussions to ensure that speech therapy classes continued virtually. More than that, the telehealth program managed to reach cleft patients who live in rural or isolated communities and made its services more readily available or convenient for people with limited mobility, time, or transportation options. When and where possible, Smile Train Philippines also provided phone cards for both the speech language pathologists (SLPs) and the patients to help with connectivity.

”This recognition by our peers in the communication industry is proof that we are making headway in our call for a more efficient telehealth network. A combination of a variety of solutions as encouraged by telehealth will ensure that children and adolescents with special needs do not get left behind, especially during a global pandemic,” said Kimmy Coseteng-Flaviano, Area Director – South East Asia, Smile Train. “For Smile Train, telehealth became not only a lifeline, but a tool for amplifying reach and promoting equity.”

The over 700 sessions given to more than 100 patients were provided from April 1st to December 31, 2020. This is more than double the number of patients who received virtual speech treatment during the same period in 2019.

With a strategy focused on educating, amplifying, and sustaining, Smile Train’s Virtual Telehealth Program garnered widespread coverage in the media, positive public reception, increased recognition for Smile Train and its advocacy, and ultimately saw an increase in speech language pathologists interested in working with Smile Train Philippines.

Smile Train believes that every child is worthy of the opportunity to live a normal life, and is committed to exploring various avenues and utilizing technology to reach more communities in the Philippines. Through the Virtual Telehealth Program, it continues to help its beneficiaries, reach out to its audiences, and, all in all, continue raising awareness about cleft lip and palate – bringing hope to those who need it the most.
