The track debuted live last year with a FIBA 2023 halftime performance and a NIKE campaign backing it up
The new song “SWOOSH,” by Filipino rapper Alex Bruce, which was distributed by Sony Music Entertainment, delves into themes of empowerment, perseverance, and success.
The bass-heavy, hip-hop song, which is suitable for the celebration of International Women’s Month due to its positive message, was originally written for the FIBA campaign of international athletic brand NIKE, of which she was an ambassador.
The young rapper claims that “SWOOSH” is about emulating the essence of NIKE’s well-known slogan, “Just Do It!” in all facets of existence. “In some ways, it’s more than just a song; it’s an anthem, a celebration of the strength of willpower, self-belief, and seizing the moment.”
The young rapper debuted the track live last year with a halftime show performance at FIBA 2023. Alex recalls having a great time performing the song for the first time with a global audience glued to their screens and with her fellow countrymen cheering for her.
“Performing at the FIBA halftime show was ‘the’ experience,” the BLING artist fondly shares. “Not only was I thrilled to be showcasing my artistry on such a huge stage, but I was also super excited to be joined by the amazing talents of ATEAM—sixteen dancers whose energy and passion added extra flavor and dimension to the performance.”
GOODSON and SHAQUIRO produced “SWOOSH” for her. In addition, Alex affirmed the caliber and versatility of her frequent producers, attributing the partnership’s success to their shared respect for one another.
In addition, Alex Bruce says, “I am friends with them, which makes the working environment more fun and conducive to ideas.”
“SWOOSH” is now available via Sony Music Entertainment on all digital music platforms worldwide.
