Bioessence commemorates thirty years of exquisite beauty

A lavish event was held to recognize Bioessence’s 30th anniversary, honoring the brand’s history and dedication to “Caring Beyond Beauty.” 

The historic occasion, which honored Bioessence’s role in offering top-notch beauty and wellness services, was held on September 26, 2024, at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City. It was a great honor to be part of their successful anniversary celebration. It was such a great night filled with joy and amusement. Everyone of us enjoyed the party, from the scrumptious foods, exciting raffles, and the performances of our great Filipino singers, Sitti and Richard Poon. We also had the chance to know the story behind Bioessence and their humble beginnings and to witness their newest brand ambassador during the event. It was indeed an event full of fun, amazing performances, and inspiration.

An evening filled with surprises, entertainment, and a look back at Bioessence’s thirty years of existence was enjoyed by thousands of guests. Since its founding in 1994, Bioessence—a chain of modest three-bed beauty clinics—has expanded into a well-known wellness company with several locations throughout Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon.

The brand’s Pearl anniversary celebration brought together key opinion leaders, stakeholders, loyal customers, and influential figures who have contributed to Bioessence’s success over the past three decades. It also welcomed VIPs, clients, and media colleagues for a vibrant night of beauty and wellness.

In addition to socializing and networking among beauty and wellness enthusiasts, the brand also mounted several exciting activities for attendees, promising a night that truly redefines care.

The Philippines’ Bossa Nova singer Sitti and The Crooner Richard Poon serenaded the crowd and made the night extra special with their delightful mix of hits and covers. Other performers include Aliw Award winner MOBB, along with up-and-coming singers Bugs and Jarlo Base.

Apart from the live music performances, the anniversary also put a spotlight on the evolution of Bioessence, while revealing new innovations in services and products in partnership with OxygenCeuticals, an oxygen-based skincare brand from South Korea. One of the other most anticipated parts of the event was the unveiling of the company’s new brand ambassador: Jennica Garcia, who graced the audience with her beauty and simplicity.

In an effort to broaden the range of services it offers, Bioessence has launched a new device called Harmony, which enhances the cutting-edge non-invasive treatments it already offers, such as Exilis and Plasma, and shows that it offers the whole package for gorgeous skin and body. Additionally, guests got to watch these devices in action at a dummy clinic run by expert trainers and consultants from Bioessence.

When Bioessence presented its future goals, guests were also given a dose of nostalgia mixed with optimism. During the celebration, guests could take part in special prizes and get a firsthand look at the newest services and goods that Bioessence has to offer.

During the brand talks, local beauty experts shared their makeup and skincare insights and inspiring stories of self-expression. The Q&A and meet and greet sessions afterward was also a great opportunity for beauties to get more nuggets of wisdom from the experts.

Through donations of 100,000 Rewards points, Globe’s G-gantic Goals unlock more than Php 1 million in support

917 Hapag Movement families to receive grocery package, cinema experience

In honor of G DAY, Globe effectively encouraged its users to contribute to the fight against forced hunger, accomplishing its objective of accumulating 100,000 Globe Rewards points five days ahead of schedule.

100,000 Globe consumers contributed 1 Rewards point apiece through the G-gantic Goals campaign to the Hapag Movement, an initiative aimed at reducing forced hunger and giving disadvantaged families across the country access to possibilities for employment.

G-gantic Goals is among activities being held in celebration of G DAY, Globe’s annual event commemorating its iconic 917 prefix. Beyond exclusive rewards and exciting surprises, Globe is offering an opportunity for customers to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need through the campaign.

“G-gantic Goals or GGG empowers our customers to become active agents of change, helping combat hunger and contributing to broader sustainable development goals. We are very grateful to those who helped us achieve our G-Gantic Goal of raising 100,000 Rewards points for the Hapag Movement faster than expected!” said Jerome Patalud, Head of Globe Rewards.

G-gantic Goals called for 1-point Rewards donations from its customers starting September 1, kicking off the month-long G DAY celebrations. The donation period was supposed to end on September 20, but Globe reached the 100,000 target by September 15.

The campaign will culminate on September 28, Saturday of the National Family Week with a special treat for 917 Hapag Movement beneficiary families or about 3,688 individuals who will receive G Day grocery baskets filled with food essentials worth over Php 1 million.

As an added surprise, the families will also be treated to a free movie screening where they can watch together and bond— an experience that will be a first for some. The screenings will take place at select Ayala Malls Cinemas nationwide: TriNoma, Ayala Malls Feliz, U.P. Town Center, Ayala Malls MarQuee Mall in Pampanga, Ayala Center Cebu, and Ayala Malls Abreeza in Davao.

Globe is collaborating with partners including Ayala Foundation, Scholars of Sustenance Philippines, Ayala Malls Cinemas, and Puregold Price Club Inc. to bring this special treat to life.

Toyota is an AP disaster risk conference partner for sustainable transportation

As one of the official mobility partners for the 2024 Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR), which will be hosted by the Philippines in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the leading company in the industry, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) announces its participation. About 3,000 world leaders and delegates will come together for the conference, which will be held from October 14–18, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, to discuss important catastrophe risk reduction measures in the Asia-Pacific area.

During the APMCDRR Partners Briefing and Memorandum of Agreement Signing event in Makati City, TMP recently formalized its partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), which is the co-chair of the APMCDRR’s Philippine inter-agency committee. In accordance with this agreement, TMP will serve the transportation needs of conference attendees, including ministers from UN member states and different international stakeholders, by providing a fleet of 25 Toyota Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and two Toyota Coaster buses.

This partnership underscores TMP’s strong support to promoting sustainable mobility solutions and contributing to disaster risk reduction efforts in the region.

A heightened focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) can catalyze innovation, efficiency, cost reduction, and business growth. It presents opportunities to tap into new markets, attract conscious consumers, and enhance long-term resilience. For instance, research conducted with WSP Global Inc., a design and engineering consulting firm, found that digital building and power management solutions help in reducing operational carbon emissions in existing office buildings by up to 42 percent, with return on these investments can be expected in around three years.

Leong concluded, “We are more than a technology provider. As sustainability practitioners, we empower our partners to achieve their ESG goals through innovative digital solutions. Our recommendation is to not shy away from action but make environmental claims that are clear, credible, and can be verified because sustainability is our passport to operate in the future.”

Meanwhile, at the inauguration of the Toyota Danao, Cebu Service Center, Hashimoto highlighted the importance of mobility as part of the city’s development.

Like the Koronadal Service Center, Danao Service Center features a modern showroom and a state-of-the-art service center that can accommodate more customers within the area.
