Amidst the pandemic many people are wondering how to celebrate Christmas without wandering.

We know how stressful this pandemic brought to us. We encountered a lot of problems this year but let’s not forget the season of Christmas which is love and prosperity. It’s the time to be happy and SM City never fail us to give that happiness that we need in this Christmas season. Elevating our experience in this coming holidays by doing a lot of activities but still we observed the precautionary measures to obtain the safety of everyone in the event.

It’s always a magical Christmas at SM!

 

Recently, I have been thinking of how people in our community will have the chance to feel the same way for Christmas this year, amid the ongoing pandemic.

For months, we have been avoiding crowded places and keeping our distance with gatherings, which I think could create a huge gap and difference in how we celebrate various occassion.

But, as always, SM has its own way of creating a magical and joyous season not just for me, but also to a lot of Filipino families that yearn to celebrate this wonderful time of the year. Needless to say, however much stress and hassle we gotta be, we always look forward to the positive and merry side of hope and giving.

So having said how excited I am, here are some of the details on how SM can prove us that they are really anticipating a wonderful and joyous christmas for all of us;

Starting off November 6 with Christmas Launches. SM Supermalls are on-set to start their magical and delightful christmas design show-offs. Former Eduard Folayang Foe Pieter Buist Believes Filipino Buckled Under Pressure in His Last Bout

Third-ranked ONE lightweight contender Pieter “The Archangel” Buist of The Netherlands fought and defeated former ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of the Philippines as recently as January of this year. So he is familiar with the Filipino’s game and the kinds of threats he poses.

Which is why Buist, who witnessed Folayang’s most recent loss against Australia’s Alex Caruso, believes the 36-year-old veteran came into the bout at a mental disadvantage.

Folayang dropped a close unanimous decision to Caruso just last week, at ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX in Singapore. Prior to the bout, many fans and analysts wondered if “Landslide” would consider riding off into the sunset and calling it a career if he suffered another setback. With the Caruso loss, Folayang has now dropped four of his last five.

In a recent interview, Buist explained how important a role mindset plays in every fight.

“It looked like Eduard was missing some batteries. Against me he was more aggressive, more outgoing. And now he was hesitating. I think he buckled under the pressure of ‘yeah he has to win this fight, because if he doesn’t win, he must stop’,” said Buist.

“You know, for a fighter, a lot of people don’t understand, especially those who don’t fight. It’s around 85 to 90 percent mental. The rest is physical. So if mentally, you’re not there, you will lose.”

Against Caruso, Folayang certainly did not appear like his true self, or at the very least, was unable to show what he was truly capable of in the Circle. The Filipino veteran appeared a step behind Caruso for the duration of the contest, noticeably lagging behind his younger foe in both striking and grappling exchanges.

Having also fought and defeated Caruso just last year, Buist could see the specific difficulties Folayang had against his Australian foe. Buist is convinced that Folayang’s mental state greatly affected the former lightweight king’s output.

“No matter how strong physically you are, for all the fighters, it’s the same. It’s mental warfare always. It begins with mental warfare and ends with mental warfare,” said Buist.

“The physical part is punching, beating, choking, you know. I think mentally, he wasn’t there. But Caruso is a good fighter. I fought him also. He’s a true warrior. He comes to fight. For him, it was the same thing. I think Caruso was, mentally, better prepared than Eduard.”

Buist returns to action this Friday night at ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX II, a previously-recorded event from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore scheduled for air on 6 November. “The Archangel” takes on fourth-ranked lightweight contender Timofey Nastyukhin in what is expected to be an action-packed affair.

The headline bout features reigning ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov of Kyrgyzstan defending his title against undefeated American James Nakashima.

Watch the event this Friday, 6 November on One Sports+ at 8:30 p.m. Philippine Standard Time (PHT). One Sports will air the event on a same-day delay at 9 p.m. PHT. Additionally, TV5 will air the event on a next-day delay at 11 p.m. PHT.

According to a local consumer survey commissioned by P&G Health, individuals with Neuropathy report difficulty in doing everyday mundane tasks such as standing for a prolonged period, walking long distances, picking up items, holding things, writing, grabbing items, opening a lid, doing needlework and more.

Lack of knowledge about Neuropathy, however, has led most people to brush off nerve damage indicators if they still get to do the things they need in a day even with little to serious discomforts. Surprisingly, survey respondents understand that these symptoms might indicate a health condition, but they also admit that the only time they begin to pay attention to these is when the symptoms become annoying and make them difficult to perform or manage daily tasks.
