SB19, who made waves a while back when their official lyric video for “MAPA,” surpassed 100 million views, is returning to “THE FIRST TAKE” with a brand-new rendition of another popular song.
On July 15, Monday, at 9:00 p.m. Manila time, their second performance video for “MAPA” debuted, after their viral smash “GENTO,” which they played during their launch on YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE” on July 1.
SB19’s second performance on THE FIRST TAKE will feature the poignant song “MAPA,” which stands in stark contrast to the explosive “GENTO.” While watching this performance, fans should also pay close attention to the touching lyrics, which are dedicated to their parents and other important individuals in their lives.

“THE FIRST TAKE” is a Japanese YouTube channel that invites top singers and artists from all over the world to perform a song recorded in one take. Videos on “The First Take” are filmed in a studio, with shots of the performing artist and a microphone, set to a background that is usually white.
SB19 on the other hand, is the first Southeast Asian group and the first Filipino to be invited in the influential music media outlet. They recently trended on X after the announcement of their return to “THE FIRST TAKE.”
SB19 is still expanding their fan base both locally and abroad. They had a wonderful success at their debut concert in Japan on April 29 at Tokorozawa Sakura Town. As the first Filipino musicians to be featured, they performed “GENTO ” on “THE FIRST TAKE,” and the video has received over two million views since then. Before making their comeback, the members attracted even more attention by releasing a thank-you video to their worldwide fan base, stating, “We were able to come this far thanks to the support of all the A’TIN.”
