As part of its continuing dedication to security, TikTok has earned ISO 27001 certification

The community’s protection, security, and privacy are TikTok’s top priorities. They are constantly working to improve and advance our security efforts in order to keep the internet as a place for self-expression, innovation, and joy safe and secure. That’s why TikTok is pleased to announce that they are now ISO 27001 accredited in the United States and the United Kingdom, with Singapore, Ireland, and India on the way! The ISO certification is one of the most widely accepted information security standards, demonstrating our commitment to safeguarding our global society through individuals, processes, and technology.

A critical part in building a world class global security organization includes testing their defenses by collaborating with external partners. TikTok continues to welcome security, privacy, and policy experts to review their code and algorithm at TikTok’s Transparency and Accountability Center.  During the ISO certification process, independent third party auditors performed a series of rigorous checks to confirm TikTok’s global security, risk, and controls operations meet the highest standards. Core to this was evaluating how they protect their platform’s infrastructure, development, operations, and services, including:

  • Demonstrating evidence of implementing and maintaining an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS) to safeguard data
  • Validating a range of security controls to show TikTok’s alignment with security best practices
  • Cross-functional collaboration across security, IT, legal, privacy, and HR teams to build a culture of security awareness

Obtaining ISO 27001 certification is another crucial phase in our extensive security path, which will continue indefinitely. TikTok is committed to bringing their efforts to the next level and leading the industry by continuing to invest, iterate, and uphold their commitments to preserve the thriving TikTok culture.

TikTok has global offices including Los Angeles, Mountain View, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo. www.tiktok.com.

4 Celeb Mothers Reveal Their Top Tips for Keeping The Dishes Clean and Germ-Free

Clean households don’t just magically clean itself and in the midst of busy lives, it’s vital to learn useful tips and tricks to keep your family clean and safe. This involves being more conscientious about the cleaning products you use and how you clean them. Although we go above and above in sanitizing the items that enter our homes, we must also disinfect those that are already there. What is one of your house’s dirtiest items? It’s the little squishy soft sponge you use to clean your dishes.

Most of the bacteria are harmless and will simply make your sponges stink, but others may make you sick. The worst part is that if it isn’t sanitized, it will contaminate anything it comes into contact with, including dishes and utensils. Dishwash like a pro and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with understanding you’re not using a germy sponge to clean your dishes. Check out these helpful and easy #CertifiedMaDISHkarte tips from some of the country’s most popular moms:

Rinse and clean your sponge especially after using it.

Jodi Sta Maria

While it’s tempting to just toss it back as soon as you’re done with washing the dishes, always remember that our cleaning tools also need a good cleaning. “I clean my sponge daily and really take time to rinse it properly to make sure there are no food scraps left. I don’t mind spending extra minutes doing it. It’s worth it especially if it means my family can be safer,” shared top actress Jodi Sta Maria.

Isabel Oli-Prats

Another tip from Isabel Oli is to lather it up with dish soap and rinse it with running water. “The kitchen sponge can easily pass on bacteria to everything it touches. If you have a clean sponge, it decreases the odds of spreading the bacteria,” the actress said.

Be choosy with your sponge holder.

Danica Sotto-Pingris

After washing your sponge, wring out your sponge completely after each use. Remember, a properly wrung-out sponge will dry quicker, and a drier sponge equals a cleaner sponge. “Soggy wet sponges harbor more bacteria so I let mine completely dry after every use with a proper sponge holder. I make sure it has proper drainage so it dries faster,” said Danica Sotto-Pingris.

Replace your kitchen sponges every once or twice a week.

Neri Miranda

“Para sa akin, dapat ugaliin na magpalit ng mga mga kitchen sponge. A good rule of thumb according to experts is to replace it every 1-2 weeks, depending on the amount of use.” said Neri Miranda. Kitchen sponges are sneaky harbors of bacteria, molds, and yeast. If you’ve ever kept a sponge so long it started to smell bad, what you’re smelling is a happy colony of bacteria growing in it.

Using just a reputable dishwashing liquid with antibacterial properties.

Whenever it happens to dishwashing liquid, these celebrity moms still opt for Joy Antibac Dishwashing Liquid, which has been shown to have antibacterial properties. It destroys 99.9% of germs on dishes and kitchen sponges, giving you peace of mind that your dishes and sponges are as clean as possible–something that ordinary liquids or dilutes cannot guarantee.

Be such a #CertifiedMaDISHkarte mom with Joy Antibac Dishwashing Liquid, which kills 99.9% of germs on dishes and kitchen sponges while keeping your family safe. More #CertifiedMaDISHkarte tips for IWAS GERMS, IWAS SAKIT can be found at facebook.com/JoyPhilippines.

Yukii Artana, Our Tiktok Superstar and Modern Day Hero

Yukii Artana

Many people nowadays depend on delivery services for necessities such as groceries, drugs, and food. Countless families are able to remain healthy and secure indoors thanks to delivery riders. Julio “Yukii” Artana, a 27-year-old delivery rider from Imus, Cavite, is one of them. Yukii, like many others, braves the streets every day to deliver food to people’s homes.

A rider who provides both food and entertainment.

Yukii is a TikTok creator who entertains his fans with dance videos, which he often produces while dressed in his delivery uniform. During lockdown, he first joined TikTok because it was famous. He had no idea that a year later, he would have 132k app followers and his content would receive millions of views.

Here are some of Yukii’s best TikTok videos, including one that has already garnered 4.6M views!

Having worked as a food delivery rider for two years, Yukii feels a sense of responsibility and pride in his job, and in his ability to provide this service to many Filipinos. He shares, “Masaya ako dahil nakakapaghatid ako ng tamang serbisyo sa customers ko, at nakakatulong din po kami upang mabawasan ang paglabas ng mga tao.”

The job isn’t always easy, and Yukii says that some days aren’t as productive and profitable as others as far as bookings are concerned. Apart from this, he also faces many other challenges as a rider.

Yukii is still concerned about the health risks. Realizing this, he makes it a point to observe all safety precautions.

Safety should be a priority, both in the real world and online

While our present situation requires us to take measures to remain safe and healthy, TikTok also takes steps towards fortifying its safety features, for the well being of all users on the app. These features include:

Grab expands its food and parcel delivery services, as well as its cashless payment services, to more Philippine areas

Grab, Southeast Asia’s most famous superapp, is expanding its food and parcel service, as well as cashless payment, services to more cities in the Philippines. Grab aims to make it easier for more Filipinos to get daily necessities, especially in light of the ongoing pandemic. Grab has been focusing on national expansion in the Philippines since launching GrabFood, GrabExpress, and GrabPay in Zamboanga in January 2021. Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Concepcion and Capas towns in Tarlac; General Santos City in South Cotabato; Legazpi, Albay; and Butuan, Agusan del Norte have all received services since then.

This month, the superapp plans to expand its presence in Zambales by launching GrabFood, GrabExpress, and GrabPay in the Subic Bay Freeport Region.

According to Cindy Toh, Head of Grab’s Cities and Expansion, “We’re pleased to make more services available to more cities across the Philippines. As part of our GrabForGood initiative, we’re committed to helping as many people as possible leverage our offerings to help them safely and easily purchase and pay for essential items, especially as they continue to face the challenges of the global pandemic. At the same time, we can empower Filipinos who need to maintain their livelihood by giving them opportunities to earn supplemental wages by joining our community of driver- and delivery-partners. Access to digital tools supports not just individuals but entire communities, and we’re excited to see the new cities we’re reaching- and those we will reach in the future- flourish with more opportunities and options for both workers and consumers.”

SMALL BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT Via ON-DEMAND FOOD AND PARCEL DELIVERIES

Rowena Aguilar, a Laguna-based entrepreneur, was instantly concerned about the future of her company when news of the government’s enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) emerged last year. She used to distribute her custom handicrafts to different vendors in and around Sta. Rosa on a regular basis before the pandemic, but the quarantine restricted her capacity to do so. She was also concerned about her personal safety, even after the constraints were relaxed, due to the rise of COVID-19..

However, when Grab expanded to Sta. Rosa, Rowena was able to resume her business, leveraging Grab’s safe and fast deliveries to meet client demand. “I was able to breathe a sigh of relief because I was able to fulfill my handicrafts orders without delay, and without worries. It was also more convenient because customers were able to digitally pay for their orders in advance,” she said.

Rowena is one of thousands of small businesses and customers who have benefited from Grab’s cities expansion.

With communities still coping with the effects of the pandemic, consumers can rely on Grab for these essential services:

  • GrabFood: Enjoy a wide selection of cuisines (including homegrown and local favorites) and have them delivered right to your doorstep anytime thanks to Grab’s fast and reliable delivery service. You can also look for sulit, affordable meals that you can enjoy year-round.
  • GrabExpress: Send gifts or parcels to friends and family using the app’s reliable and secure delivery options.
  • GrabPay: Whether you need to order food or make quick parcel deliveries, you can use Grab’s in-app digital wallet for your payments. GrabPay can also be used in-store at partner merchants such as SM, Starbucks, Uniqlo, and Ace Hardware. GrabPay is accepted at thousands of merchants nationwide. As an added bonus, each transaction earns reward points that can be redeemed for store discounts and selected vouchers.

Ayn Bernos, A Tiktok Creator and Proud Morena Motivates all women to be their best selves

Ayn Bernos

Ayn promotes sun-kissed skin and fights colorism in the Philippines through her content and her brand, Morena the Label!

A small boost in self-esteem will go a long way toward inspiring others. This is why it is so important for women to help, elevate, and inspire one another. Ayn Bernos, a video creator on Tiktok and a proponent of female empowerment, recognized this and decided to use her online content to inspire her followers, especially female viewers, to help them become more self-assured.

A breakup set her on the path to becoming a motivational content creator on the app. According to Ayn Bernos, “My first video that went viral was my post-breakup journey. I simply shared what I was able to achieve once I started focusing on myself and my growth – moving to a different country, traveling, starting a business – and I guess a lot of women were able to resonate with that,” Ayn shares. She adds, “Since then, I started creating motivational videos about confidence and being a work-in-progress. My favorite part is not really preaching or giving advice. It’s more about being open about my journey and sharing the lessons that I personally had to learn the hard way.”

Since then, Ayn has also been able to use TikTok as a platform to talk about her advocacies, including that of challenging colorism in the Philippines. She admits that her morena skin was a source of insecurity growing up. Now, through her label as well as her content, she wishes to make a difference for younger Filipinas. She shares, “I was really insecure about my skin color as a kid, and it took me a long time to gain my confidence. Having a platform as an adult, I wanted to change that experience for future generations of morenas. I started Morena the Label to allow other morenas like me to also find that confidence. To some people, they’re just t-shirts, but to our customers and our followers, these t-shirts are an opportunity to be proud of our skin – oftentimes, for the first time. Morena the Label is a brand, but more than that, it’s also a community.”

Ayn Bernos is also an advocate of self-development and education. She is one-half of the Camp Confidence Radio Podcast, and even has a second TikTok account, Ayn Pero Tagalog, where she produces bite-sized English lessons aimed at make language learning a little less intimidating for beginners.

This is what Ayn had to say when asked about the most valuable life lesson she had learned. “It took me some time to learn, but when I did, it changed my life. I realized that I don’t have to compete with other women in order to succeed. I thought that success meant being the most beautiful, or the smartest, or the most talented woman in the room. But in truth, there is nothing more fulfilling than being in a room of supportive women who shine in different ways. It’s a cliché, but we really are stronger together.”

Jessy Mendiola, a Calcium Cee Ambassador, reveals her tips for boosting immunity

While the country waits for the much-anticipated vaccine to help us battle COVID-19, Filipinos will improve their first line of defense, their immunity.

According to Jessy Mendiola, the newest ambassador of Calcium Cee, as she talks about her secrets to being fit and healthy in this time of pandemic. “Firstly, I try to combat the worries and the fears with a more positive mindset,” reveals the young 28-year-old actress. “I make sure to pray every day to nurture a sense of calm and remind myself of His love. And I try to keep myself fit and strong with the right exercise, proper nutrition, and, of course, my daily dose of Calcium Cee.”

Jessy acknowledges that the lockdown has forced her to make significant changes to her habits and that she has had to find new ways to remain safe. She remains healthy these days by doing more difficult exercises at home and a little weightlifting.

Apart from working out, Jessy claims that supplementing her balanced diet with vitamins is the key to keeping fit while on lockdown. She stated, “Calcium CEE is my choice of vitamin C because it offers double C protection. It has both vitamin C and calcium, which helps fortify my immune system and protects my body from diseases. Also, it helps keep me healthy, energetic, and protected throughout the day!”

Calcium Cee is a non-acidic supplement that incorporates the important benefits of two essential nutrients: calcium and vitamin C.

Calcium improves the circulatory system in addition to developing healthy bones and teeth to prevent osteoporosis. It assists in the contraction of blood vessels and muscles, as well as the transmission of signals through the nervous system and the secretion of hormones and enzymes in the body.

Calcium is efficient at addressing a variety of imbalances, including hormonal and mineral (phosphate and potassium) imbalances. Calcium, in particular, has been shown to help women lose weight and alleviate PMS symptoms such as bloating and mood swings.

Calcium has been shown to reduce the risk of kidney stones and colon cancer, among other health benefits.

Vitamin C, on the other hand, is a well-known antioxidant that protects the body from harmful free radicals. It also assists in the prevention of infections and the healing of wounds.

Jessy said, “What I like about Calcium Cee is that it is a non-acidic type of vitamin C, which makes it safe and gentle to take even on an empty stomach. “Plus, it offers the added perk of helping me look younger .  Calcium Cee also helps in achieving a more youthful-looking by boosting collagen formation, repairing key tissues, and easing stress, among other benefits.”

Calcium Cee uses a non-sodium ascorbate, which is a better source of the vitamin than most products on the market. This is in contrast to the vast majority of vitamin C formulations on the market today, which contain high levels of sodium and may induce water retention and hypertension.

“If you’re looking for a simple, safe, and gentle means to boost your immunity, try Calcium Cee,” Jessy suggest. “It provides two-for-one benefits of vitamin C and calcium in just one capsule. It’s a powerful and potent combination that can help everyone stay protected.” #CalciumCeeEveryday #StrongandHealthyEveryday

Vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate is known as calcium cee, ascorbic acid. It is non-acidic and sodium-free, and it can be consumed on an empty stomach.

Calcium Cee is available at Mercury Drug (https://www.mercurydrug.com/)  and Watson’s (https://www.watsons.com.ph/calcium-ascorbate-1-tablet/p/BP_10076743).  Merry mart, All day Green Pharma , Alturas Bohol  and leading drugstores nationwide.
